Worked just like the original part which had broke - no more thread balls!
The original bobbin case broke (it was 20+ yrs old) and I was going to take it to the sewing shop for repair but realized I could just order this part. Works like a charm again!

In the photos seems like it’s the exact same however it’s smaller and isn’t the same and has broken my machine futher as now I had to send it into singer for a technician to fix it don’t waste your money on this
