Great tool
This is for me that tool that I wish I had so many times. I use my drill press on wood regularly but there is always one instance where Iโd like to drill a perfect hole where my drill press will not reach. This is that tool and it works exceptionally well. The craftsmanship is solid.

Quality tool and worth the money
I purchased this tool to drill out thick walnut shelves we milled up for floating shelves in a kitchen. It worked flawlessly and we were able to use it with a forstner bit to perfectly center our holes. It made mounting the shelves a breeze onto the brackets which had 4 solid poles sticking out. I will find other uses for this for sure. I've been a remodeling contractor for 25 years and wish I had this tool many years ago. This is a real review from a real person, not one that got a free tool.

Handy Shop Addition
Pricy but does a great job. With your drill installed itโs a little top-heavy so getting the drill bit close to the material at the start is helpful. This drill guide is made well and the operation is smooth. You cannot beat the drill accuracy for those projects that are too large or awkward for a drill press.

Better than a drill press
This tool is very well made, very sturdy, heavy duty, smooth movement, I just canโt say enough good things about this tool. I definitely think this tool is better than a conventional drill press as it can move anywhere you need it, adjusts with ease and is compact in size. Absolutely a great design.

Fantastic Portable Drill Press
Combine this Drill Press with Vice that mounts inside of Drill Press and screws together, makes a fantastic powerhouse. I have Bar stool legs that angle outward at 13 degrees. These Bar Stools are very heavy and won't slide on the Porcelain Tile Floor. I Tried sliding pads, 4 kinds then 4 kinds of wheels, then found the outdoor grill plastic wheels. All I had to do was mount the wheels perpendicular to the floor, hmmm how was I going to do that. The Portable Drill press was the answer, just use lots of Level Bubbles to balance everything to drill straight!! Worked Fantastic, stools slide or roll with the greatest of ease. Thank you so much and for the YouTube video's on how to work it. Now I can get a Chef to come over and watch him cook for us at the Bar in Kitchen.

Nice while it lasted
I've used a couple of drill guides in my shop. It's something I have found essential, because I can take a guide in the field, unlike a drill press. This guide seemed very well engineered compared to others I've used; however, after it was out of warranty (of course), the chuck completely broke off of the thing. It just snapped off. That was pretty disconcerting, and also put me in a bind because I need a drill guide very often for work. To make matters worse, I contacted Rockler who was happy to take my money for a new chuck, and then inform me that they are backordered. That was over a month ago, and I have not heard a peep despite the fact that the entire guides are obviously in stock. So the customer service is definitely lacking with this company. Because I've been without my Rockler guide for over a month now, I've had to revert back to my old Milescraft that I replaced with what I thought was a better option (at 4X the price too) Guess what? Not only has the Milescraft outlived the Rockler, it's continuing to perform well for me. Maybe I should have stayed with the already proven product, instead of spending over $200 for a guide that didn't last nearly as long, and another $100 for a part I'm relatively sure I'm never going to see at this point.

Excellent Tool, cannot find any faults except it is pricey
If you need an efficient manual vertical drill jig, this is perfect except for the outrageous price tag. But you have the cash want a quality piece of equipment buy it

Above and beyond durability.
I bought this for a specific project, drilling 5/8" holes in a patio for a fence. I thought this guide would probably be destroyed by my hammer drill, but no. It took a beating and worked perfectly down to the last hole. It would certainly survive many years drilling through wood. I think you do have to listen to your tools, and back off a little when they're stressed, so maybe other folks pushed harder than I. It worked for me.
