Just purchased two of these, one to replace a knock-off charger that got daily use over many years and is now on the fritz and the other to replace an aging Apple-brand charger with its highly frayed electrical-taped cord (not the original that came with the computer but one purchased later on from an Apple store). Both are charging up my circa-2011 Macbook Air as desired. Can't comment on the speed of charging. Neither are overheating. The main part of this replacement has a larger width (~3/8 in), length (~3/8 in), and depth (~1/8 in) than my Apple-brand charger. I think another review said it was heavier, but the main part is actually about 4 grams lighter than my Apple-brand charger and feels more secure in the wall outlet than the Apple one (yes, sad to report that I chose to weigh them for this review, rather than do what I should be doing). The replacement's magnet is stronger. My only negative comment thus far is that the cord is approx 4 inches shorter than the Apple version, which I already thought was too short. Will update this review if I have any issues over time.

Stopped working after a couple of months. At first it would only keep my Mac 12% charged and now it won't charge it at all. The light still shows on the indicator but it doesn't charge at all.

Item crapped my battery out, now refuses to charge and my battery needs replacement. The device stopped working as well. Just perfect. One more thing to add, this has given me electric shocks too.

I've been using this charger now for 3 months and I have had no issues thus far. I even ordered a second one for my gf because our old original ones not only broke but our replacements from another websites were a potential fire hazard. These you just have to remember to unplug from the wall when not in use and you will be good!

Perfect after market charger. You know the story, old charger frayed so hubby and I were sharing 1 charger. Ordered this and am very happy. Fits both our MacBooks and charges great. No complaints at all.

My charger broke at the worst time when I had an assignment due. The shipping on this product was so ridiculously fast, I am impressed! Works perfectly with my 2010 Mac Pro. Would repurchase.

Thank God for this! After living in perfect harmony with my computer next to my (and her) bed for months, my dog suddenly took objection to it and shredded my $80 apple charger in 5 minutes flat. It’s been months and I’m still not over the betrayal. Anyway - I wasn’t mine emotionally capable of spending $80 on a new charger so I was looking around for a cheaper alternative. I found this and figured that if it didn’t work, it was only $30. It DOES work. I’ve had it now since Oct 2017 and it’s still working well.

After feel me responsible for a Apple computer than a friend purchase used at Walmart and the original and used charged became broken, I decided to purchase to him the more inexpensive one than I can find inside the internet. This charged was purchased to be sed with that computer and I bring that like a birthday present. No matter the really bad gift selection, the charger as been working without any problem and better than the apple original. Excellent purchase and no that good as a gift.
