CEO Everyday Carry Folding Knife with Liner Lock, Black, 7097K

Nice gentleman’s knife.

A very sleek profile, just what I wanted. Being LH I appreciate the reversible clip. Other manufacturers--providing similar but lower priced knives here on Amazon--might make better use of this. The opening is stiff only until you do it right. While flip knives from Kershaw, etc, open at a flick of the lever this one responds to more of a downward sliding motion over the lever. It's got jimping to supply sufficient friction. As far as the comment by another user claiming that two handed opening isn't an option... a slight press on the lever will pop the blade open just enough that one can manually open the blade to attain less "aggressive" deployment. The clip is minimal which is nice as it makes it less noticeable. It doesn't seem to affect a secure place in pocket but I'll update if that changes. Slight concern with the small liner lock but I don't plan on stabbing car doors and I think it will be sufficient as it holds fine to a firm spine whack test. The blade has very slight horizontal wiggle when open--much less than I feared it would from the design. This might be made even less with a slight tightening but I haven't tried that as I'm happy with how it is. Overall a good value and, again, just what I was looking for. Were it $100 knife I'd give it 4 stars. At half that I give it 5.

This is a really solid everyday carry knife, especially if you want something that carries slimmer and looks a little more refined than a bulky tactical folder. The CRKT CEO disappears in a pocket and almost carries more like a pen than a knife, which makes it great for office carry, church, date nights, or anywhere you don’t want a giant “look at my knife” setup. The AUS-8 blade steel takes a good edge fairly easily and has been perfectly adequate for normal EDC tasks like opening boxes, cutting packaging, trimming things, and light utility work. The blade shape is practical, sharp, and precise for smaller cutting jobs. The knife feels surprisingly lightweight, opens smoothly, and the liner lock has worked reliably. Build quality is good for the price point, and it looks cleaner and more professional than a lot of chunky EDC knives. A couple honest tradeoffs: because it’s so slim, this is not a hard-use work knife. If you’re prying, beating on things, or doing heavier shop or outdoor work, there are better options. The narrow handle also isn’t as comfortable for prolonged cutting as a larger knife. But for what it’s designed to be — a slim, classy, easy-to-carry everyday knife — it does the job really well.

This is a light duty knife, so if you use it for rough work, that's your fault, but within it's typical realm of use, it's one of the best values. I always carry it when going out on the town because even nice restaurants sometimes have awful knives, and this thing is so good for surgical precision on a steak. Wipe if it off and it's ready to go back to opening letters and packages. Holds a decent edge. Looks decent and has a deep carry clip. One of the best things about the flipper version, is it is one of the most satisfying knives to open at any price. It never ceases to shock people. Even non "knife enthusiasts." It's just so satisfying.

Love this blade. It's my second one. Mistakingly took the first to an NBA game and it was confiscated. It's light and you forget it's in your pocket. Holds an edge well. Very easy to edc. Looks sleak and fits into an office environment better than most knives.

Very nice knife. Sleek and sophisticated. As the name would imply, CEO, well suited for the upper echelon. Perfect TOP pocket knife.
