Limited blue colored vinyl LP pressing. 50th Anniversary edition. Rocky Mountain High is the sixth studio album by singer-songwriter John Denver, originally in September 1972. It was his first US Top 10 album, propelled by the single "Rocky Mountain High".

It's slow
There is a lot of non consistency with this record. Many parts of the same song can sound on point and a lot sounds slow and winy.

Disappointing Reissue
This review is for the physical album not the music. The original RCA album had a semi gatefold cover that that album slipped into the inside pocket, this is a standard jacket with a paper insert with lyrics and picture that was part of the original gatefold. Their is no information if the recording was remastered so we should assume it’s a digital transfer. No original RCA orange label and yes it’s on colored vinyl. So if you care it’s about as poor of a 50th anniversary issue as you can get. I would think that John Denver’s estate would want a better representation of his most iconic album.

Gave this one star because of the bad mastering of the original LP
Gave this one star because of the bad mastering of the original LP. Bought a sealed copy here. Original Dyna-Flex orange label RCA, 1st pressing. Let me tell you this...you will NEVER find a copy of this album that sounds good. Opened the sealed 1st pressing....no warpage...just bad sound. They all sound the same. I'm guessing the newer pressings sound good. Originals never did.

Rocky Mountain Low
The Blue vinyl is really nice. This album was actually made and pressed in the Czech Republic (not US) as revealed by the small sticker on the back. Nothing is stated how the record was Mastered. Fair recording and the bass is a little muddy.
