Perfect!
This was sold years ago by Starbucks and is still in good condition. I bought this for my daughter who loved mine. She was so excited that she now has one, too.

Effective and attractive
Update: After washing a difference brush in the washing machine I realized the issue was that the bristles were collecting food debris in the wash. Works well if hand-washed or machine washed with the bristles pointing down.I wouldn't trust this on pastry or any other food item. There was a weird red gooey substance sticking the bristles together.

Nicely Made
The Redecker Natural Pig Bristle Pastry Brush works perfectly as a cleaning brush for my burr coffee bean grinder. To start, it has not shed bristles as some less expensive brushes have done. I have not used it for pastries or basting but it otherwise is a nicely un-finished fine grained wood as pictured. It should never go in the dishwasher, just gentle hand washing occasionally. I feel that I did get what I paid for, very happy with this brush!

I'm using it to dust the flour off of my proofed lsourdough loafves
It's a perfect brush, for dry use I don't think I would use it as a basting brush, but it makes a great brush to dust off the bread that's been proofed in their baskets and there's residual flour on top of the dough and you need something that's soft but strong enough to push the flour off the bread and this is perfect. The handle is wood so wash with caution.

So far, a good value.
I love this little brush, but I confess I haven't needed to clean it yet. I have some fiber wash I'm going to use, but I imagine any mild soap will do. I'll be careful not to get the bristles wet near the handle, and let it dry in the sun, because I live in coastal Northern California, and it would mildew quick as a wink.

Perfect kitchen brush!!
This brush turned out to be the perfect size with high quality bristles. I have been told that some of the best brushes come from Germany, so I purchased it, now I believe it!

My flour removal buddy
I use this brush to remove excess flour from loaves of bread prior to baking. The stiff bristles are ideal for loosening flour from loaves quickly and efficiently. Any flour that remains in the brush is easily shaken out.

Falls apart
After a handful of uses, the bristles that are being held by glue all came out.

Does what itโs meant to do.
Very nice, but it would be better if the handle part had been varnished.

Nicer than the description!
This is a great pastry brush. The description says untreated beech handle, but in fact it is smooth and sealed with a clear sealant, not rough as I'd expected. I would be happy to buy this again.

Terrible waste of money. Poorly built product
Terrible waste of money.Within one use, of about 5 minutes of putting it to work, nearby 75% of all the bristles had completely fallen out and it became unusable. The wood is untreated and poorly sanded, leading to scratches and splinters. And bristles are fine and unattached to the handle, leading to covering your food.DO NOT BUY

Way worse than described!
Dollar shop quality! The finish is very poor, totally different from the listing photos shown. Don't buy!
