Underhill PowerTrim Pro Series Sprinkler System Heads Grass Cutter, Lawn Trimmer, 7 Inch Diameter Round Cutting Blade, Garden Yard Tools, PTC-007

I bought this hoping to use it on a 40v Ryobi straight shaft trimmer. I learned after two heads that it is just too heavy and my St. Augustine grass too tough. It was under powered and just didn’t work with that combo. I switched to a 25cc gas Ryobi, and it worked much better. Even on the gas trimmer I had to let it spin up to max speed and it would bog down as it got deeper into the grass and soil. As I learned a technique for using it, it got quicker and cutting took me less than 30 seconds per head. I ended up letting it spin up to max speed, and then if it started bogging down would lift the head a little and let it spin up again before lowering it again. The product itself is excellent. Seriously heavy duty. Just don’t expect it to work well with an underpowered trimmer on difficult grass like st. Augustine.

The description says it comes with a 1” spacer for longer arbors, but it was not included. Haven’t tried it yet, but as other reviewer stated you need your own hardware to mount. Since the arbor is much smaller than the hole, you need to have a washer to be able to hold it on.

Won't work for installed sprinkler systems. Cutter is too shallow ( 2-1/4" thick without attachment assembly see pic). This is a GREAT idea but the cutter is to shallow will damage rotor heads that are not buried at least 3 inches deep. If the cutter was deeper, it could use easily and would be a wonderful tool. If you have not yet installed the heads or if they are buried several inches this will work for you. If you have an installed system with heads less than 3-4 inches below grass surface this wont work for you either. Being returned

Make sure you have the mounting plates and bolt for your string trimmer. This unit comes with only a shaft bushing. It dose a fairly good job quickly cutting grass around sprinkler heads. Fit Echo gear box OK.

When I received this item, the box came in a wrapped package no damage. I opened the box. The product was inside the box with one little metal ring, no explanation on how to install and no information regarding where to find information to install. Nothing highly disappointed in the lack of instructions.
