Q: Are the handles tempered, or are they too hot to pick up by hand without wearing an oven mit?

Got to be a isolator of some kind on the handle. I cook on a electric flat top range and I can hold the handle when hot.

Q: What is the nonstick interior made of?

Don’t know what it’s made of, but it’s NOT of high quality. The copper coating is more like a paint and began peeling off after only a couple weeks of use. I don’t recommend it.
