TeeLiy Leather Shoe Lacing Kit, 72" Leather Shoelaces for Boot Boat Shoes

I initially gave a low rating because my first pair of laces broke after just two months of use, and I was disappointed in the durability of the leather. Product just as advertised and replaced the substandard laces on a brand new pair of boat shoes (not from Sperry!)

The metal needle is much too thick and is utterly worthless. The needle for threading the rawhide laces should be far, far narrower and very sharply pointed at one end. I will see what I might be able to do with a thin nail which I will sharpen at the end. The laces are o'k but do not match the rawhide laces on my Timberland boat shoes.

Perfect for use on canvas bags and briefcase. My new puppy attacked the old laces. These are a great value and seem to be very durable.

I've read many reviews and some folks said they had issues threading the laces. I found the key is to make sure the end of the leather shoelace is very small so that when you screw it into the needle before threading, it stays screwed in. Check to make sure it is seated/screwed into the needle by tugging on it with some fore before you start the threading process- if it comes out, make it smaller, screw it in more. I've changed out 3 pairs of Sperry Topsider leather laces and never had a problem and never had to do any "modifications" to the procedures as I read in some reviews. You get more than enough to do 2 shoes (Sperry's)- just cut them to desired length once you've installed them. Not sure about durability as they haven't been in for long, so we'll see how that goes, but I'm not expecting any problems as the laces seem to be well made.

Quality leather and needle, easy to re-lace boating shoes, most other suppliers don’t offer the needle which is the key piece of kit to do this job! The leather quality and colour match the shoes perfectly.

The pair snapped on my first lace up do not recommend

An excellent purchase and well worth the money. The leather laces on my boat shoes are prone to snapping every so often. As my local shoerepairer has now retired - and other repair shops are unable or unwilling to help - I will need to replace the laces myself. This repair kit is a godsend and very easy to use. With a bit of effort and judicious fiddling it is a straightforward process to relace your boat shoes. I highly recommend this product.
