Bra kvalitet där locket sitter bra men är ändå lätt att ta bort. Silen i locket tillräckligt fin för att filtrerar även mindre objekt, tex om du smaksatt vattnet med små bär. Lätt att diska inga vassa kanter eller dolda skrymslen.

La caraffa è arrivata nei tempi indicati, ottimo prodotto per qualità, praticità ed eleganza. Ottima assistenza clienti, che, notato un piccolo difetto sulla maniglia, sono stati veloci nel rispondere alla mail (in inglese) e gentilissimi nel risolvere il problema, sostituendo l'articolo. Complimenti, magari tutti fossero così.

Erstmal gefiel mir einfach das Design und ich wollte eine Teekanne, die etwas größer ist als meine alte (1,5l). Die Voraussetzungen erfüllt sie in jedem Fall! Auch die Tatsache, dass ich herunterfallende oder wackelige Deckel nicht leiden kann, ist hier nicht mehr gegeben. Ich mag es, wie der Deckel ausgießt (es geht nicht ein Tropfen daneben, egal wie viel oder wenig man kippt!) Generell lässt sie sich auch mit viel Inhalt gut händeln, ist nur eben entsprechend schwerer dann. Ich bin immer etwas vorsichtig, wenn mehr als ein Liter heiße Flüssigkeit drin ist, aber das sollte man ja auch... Nach einer Woche Benutzung kann ich sagen, dass wir mal viel, mal wenig Tee getrunken haben und auch gerne mal den Inhalt einer ganzen Kanne süßen, um uns dann die Löffel zu sparen am Tisch. Ich stelle sie inzwischen tatsächlich wie vom Hersteller angegeben direkt gefüllt auf die heiße Herdplatte und auch wenn es etwas dauert, den kompletten Inhalt zu erwärmen (die Platte ist halt größer als der Boden der Kanne, da geht was verloren, auch da sie höher als breit geformt ist...), kann ich im Grunde kaltes Wasser rein füllen, den Beutel (auch fertige) gleich mit rein hängen und ja nach Wassermenge kocht es innerhalb von 5-10 Minuten wie auch meinen Video. Auch wenn ich fertigen Tee (Rest) aufwärme, egal ob Stövchen oder Herd, das Ding funktioniert klasse und ich hatte bisher nicht einen einzigen Unfall damit! Der Deckel hält auch dann noch gut, wenn ich wie auf den Bildern meine Teebeutel rein klemme und da sabbert auch nix beim Gießen! Alles in allem hat sie meine Erwartungen übertroffen und sollte sie je kaputt gehen, hat es die Nachfolgerin echt schwer, meine neuen Allüren zu befriedigen, denn sowas konnte ich bisher noch mit keiner meiner Kannen anstellen und es ist toll! Im Wasserkocher vorkochen tue ich auch manchmal noch, aber so ist es einfach unkomplizierter, da das umgießen wegfällt und ich sie kalt fertig mache, auf den Herd stelle, warte und gleich so auf den Tisch stellen kann. Wird sie kalt, kurz zurück auf den Herd (so, wie sie ist, es hat auch schon mit weniger Tee als bis zum unteren Griffende geklappt!) und wieder warm machen. Einfach. Genial! Da ich sie dauerhaft im Einsatz habe, seit sie da ist, spüle ich sie immer nur kurz mit Wasser aus zwischen den Benutzungen. Allerdings traue ich ihr nach dem Gesehenen auch problemlos den Geschirrspüler zu! Ich hoffe, sie wird uns hier lange begleiten... Ach ja: sie fasst tatsächlich keine vollen 2l Wasser. Die sind bis zum obersten Rand gemessen und so hoch füllt man ja keinen Tee ein... Für mich war das kein Problem. Wir kochen darin immer ca. 1,5 - 1,8l Tee, den so viel fasst mein Wasserkocher. Mein Fazit: Ich wollte die große Kanne, da mein Wasserkocher so eine große Mindestmenge kocht, aber jetzt benutze ich den Kocher meist nicht mehr, sondern oft nur noch die Kanne auf dem Herd! 😀 Und notfalls kocht die auch Wasser auf einem Stövchen mit 3 Teelichtern und etwas Geduld (falls der Strom doch mal ausfällt, die überlebt das!) Ja, ich hab's ausprobiert... 😜

Initial review a week after receipt..... I will update this once more time has passed... This is a slim, elegant glass jug that holds around 1.5 litres and fits in the bottom of our fridge door...also on reasonable headroom shelves. I’m pleased with the jug and have had excellent service from Susteas, with whom I’ve been in contact direct. My main use for the jug is for water but it is apparently also able to take hot liquids as well.... although I haven’t tested that. I’d like to explain the star ratings as I’ve given 5* overall but 4* for each category. I really like this jug because unlike normal jugs, it is made from thin glass that is very light and so is easier to use. The handle also looks slender and so the natural question would be ‘how durable and robust would the jug be in practice?’ I’ve given 4* because I don’t know the answer. So far it’s fine but how will it compare with one of those chunky heavy jugs...time will tell. I must say that I have one of the heavy jugs and it has cracked around the handle, so maybe the heavy chunky ones aren’t as durable as they seem. I will be very happy to increase the durability rating in due course. Cleaning is no different to any glass container except the mouth is too narrow for my hand and as the jug is tall, you need a long handled brush to get to the bottom. That isn’t a problem, but I’m conscious that the instructions say to be careful when cleaning presumably because it could be possible for a fast moving hard brush to crack the glass? Again, it’s early days and I just don’t know. There’s nothing at all wrong with the jug and ordinary jugs can be hard to clean too. Of course this is dishwasher safe (although the instructions say that hand washing is preferred...which is no difference to any decent quality glass) but the usual heavy chunky jugs often aren’t dishwasher safe I guess because the glass is too thick. With thin glass and being safe for hot liquids, this jug has an advantage over those traditional ones. I’ve put value for money as also 4* simply because of the two last points. If the jug doesn’t prove to be durable then clearly it won’t be good value, but if it performs as I hope and as the instructions indicate, then it’s a function of the quality of design, of the glass etc and in that regard, to my eyes this is far better quality than typical water jugs. So the overall 5* is because as the jug stands right now it does warrant that....and it would give the wrong impression to mark it down to 4*. The proof will be in the pudding and what I hope is that I’ll be able to come back and update this review to change the 4* elements to 5* ...but I use these reviews to help me understand what I’m buying so I wanted to give a realistic and practical review that is of use to others. I like the simple elegance of the design. The jug does come with a stainless steel lid which I think would be useful if the jug is used for squash in the garden to keep flies out, or left in the fridge...so that’s very useful. I think the jug looks nicer and more elegant without the lid though so if I’m putting it on the dinner table, I’d leave the lid off! But for the avoidance of doubt, assuming everything continues as it is currently then I’m very happy with the jug and the service and, subject to the caveats above, am more than happy to recommend this jug. In fact I plan to buy another myself!
