This is a great product! I had been looking for a solution to keep my phone charged while bike touring and had been pushed in the direction of Dyno hubs, or complicated solar set-ups that required a battery. Finally I found this direct solar set-up and it worked like a dream. No manual reset or unplugging if the sun dipped behind some clouds, it just starts charging again when it received enough light.I strapped it to my rear rack and ran a 6ft USB up to my bar mount and never had to worry about draining my battery while running my GPS or playing music. Plus it was easy to hook onto my tent for charging my phone or power bank while resting in camp...I will definitely be using it on rides and camping trips or fishing trips in the future. I only charged one device at a time, so I didn't have to worry about halving the voltage but was happy with how it has performed each time I've used it.

I've used it on an Iphone 4 and a new-ish Android phone. Worked fine on both of them! Actually, I've even charged the iphone a ton of times just placing the solar panel next to my window. Which is really cool since I was assuming even getting decent light from my window, inside my room, it wouldn't be that strong. I guess it's not strong enough to charge the Android just placing the panel next to my window, but it works fine using it outside in direct sunlight so I can't complain but that's what it's intended for. I got the 7W, which was a really great price for what I want! I like the 7W version cause it's super portable, but still big enough to actually charge my phone.I looked at a LOT of different solar chargers like these, it was pretty tough deciding which one to get. Can't give an opinion on other brands, but this one works well for me!

Is worthless. Wouldn’t charge a phone or iPod, even in direct sunlight. Barely put out enough power to charge a Bluetooth headset. Am returning for refund.

Great charger for a traveler who loves outside..

Purchased on a whim and wasn't expecting much for the low price point. The design and panels themselves are very similar to my RavPower 16 watt.Here's what I can say, the darn thing works beautifully. I plug in either my Blackberry or my Wife's I phone and open the panel in the sun and the charge icon comes on instantly. While I do not have a metered connection to test I have found so far the time to charge both phones falls right into line on how long it takes on my Goal Zero Nomad 7's. The only drawback is you cannot chain these to make a larger panel.Warning! do not put whatever your charging in the provided pouch as it gets extremely hot!In the end this has been a surprisingly well constructed and good performance solar charger at a ultra low price point. The real test will be time. If it's reliable and doesn't stop working after six month's to a year than it was one of the better solar purchases I made.
