These connectors work great. Easy to put together, great for outdoor use. Nice tight seals. I bought them for adding LEDs to a wrangler. Price is perfect, I’ve seen connectors like these for much more.

I'm an Electronic Engineer and have specified many connectors and would mention that this is *not* a Deutsch connector, so it's a bit naughty to use that name for another maker's product. However, the J Ready design incorporates all the characteristics I would expect to see in Deutsch ones intended for damp or marine applications. It includes neoprene seals at cable penetrations, a seal between the mating halves, and crisply-molded wedge locks that assure only a little pressure is needed to assemble them. The set comes in a quality polypropylene case, with a disassembly tool. (A review of the tool mentioned that it was fragile, but it must have been improved as I found it sturdy, also larger than the picture suggests.) Astonishing quality - less than $3 per unit including tax! They also include a couple of optional mounting brackets, which is a nice touch. Top Tip from Toby: Make sure the pins in the male half are pulled forward so that the prong clears the land inside the connector body by about 1/4" - there should be a "click" to tell you they are there.

The JReady Deutsch connectors themselves seem to be of high quality. The materials and included pins all assemble and fit together well. I've used 3 pairs so far when wiring up accessories under the hood of my vehicle and everything works as expected. The only reason I removed 1 star is because of the included DT connector tool; the tool looks good but the blade and hook metal are too soft. I bent the metal blade tip while trying to remove a plastic plug retainer (!) and the metal hook end started bending as well to the point that it was no longer at a 90-degree angle, so it could no longer grab onto any pin retainers within the DT plug housings.

I have a medium HarvestRight freeze drier (from 2020). I had an issue in the past where some food got caught in between the shelving unit wiring and the wiring from the unit. Unfortunately, this damaged the connector. The manufacturer fixed it under warranty, but one of the wires came out due to a poor crimp. I decided to take care of it myself. I don't have the proper crimp tool, but with careful use of needle nose pliers and a little bit of solder, I now have a new connection that I trust.

I bought this kit because it had extra contacts (2 ea pin/socket) and the removal tool.Those inclusions were of immediate use as I used both during practice assembly/disassembly.The connector turned out well, assembled easily and if needed contacts can be removed with little effort. I bought a set of extra contacts from the same company and am thinking to buy one of the larger connector kits as well as their crimp tool.

Nicely made, sturdy. Did the job.
