The color is great and found matching door knobs at Menards
The small manual comes with the small print, hard to see the worded instruction without a magnifying glass. I was looking for a small fingerprint device under 3 inches for my new "SECURITY DOORS" for my home and found this device from Geek Smart. The install on the security door was great, the fingerprint setup was easy, and now the passcode setup was confusing because you need to use at least 6 digits for the passcode and the instructions does not tell you this, also the Administrator password is the Administrator passcode and the instructions does not tell you this as well, the Administrator password/passcode is found in the "APP" after setup and the Bluetooth remote unlock/lock will not work because you have to buy a "GATEWAY(40$)" to access that specific functionality....SMH and guess what? the instructions does not tell you...hahahahahhahahah! I'm not even going to try the "IC cards"....Finger print works and my 6 digit passcord works and it talks.....happy camper! AWWW yeah the top button does not help with anything just lights up....enjoy!

Great lock and easy to install
I recently installed this deadbolt because of how much I liked the similar doorknob by Geeksmart. I really like the looks of this. It was really easy to install (though I did loosen and reinstall it because I realized the interior portion was crooked on my first try. Even so, it only took 20 minutes tops). It is easy to lock and has a number of options that I'm still deciding which to implement. It has an "autolock" after a designated amount of time that I use for our doorknob but haven't here since the door is sometimes left open. The default for it was a max of 60 seconds but I realized I could make it a custom time of 400 seconds which is helpful. I was also impressed that it alerts you with a sound if the deadbolt tries to lock but can't extend all the way. The fingerprints are super handy but we did have one incident when my child came home and was locked out because her fingerprint didn't register. I'm hoping these are similar to the iphone where they improve their reading each time it's unlocked with that finger but we're also making sure to have a code that people know so they don't have to rely on the fingerprint. I'll update the score after we've had it longer and know if that was a one-time issue or a frequent occurrence (it would be 5 stars if it hadn't happened).

Good quality
This is a high-quality lock. It’s heavy, metal, well packaged, and has a clear instruction booklet and templates.I’ve been using it for about 2 months now and I absolutely love it. The fingerprint recognition is awesome, I never have problems, even in cold weather. My main issue is teaching new people how to use the keypad. You have to press a random button first to make it light up, then you can enter the code, and I think also the padlock button, which for some reason gets completely overlooked by everyone thru no fault of its own. But it does take a mini tutorial.I like being able to set how long before I locks again, I have it set to 60 seconds which is plenty for me to grab my Amazon packages or something from the car. It’s still a weird sensation though that I no longer have to worry about the days of hearing the front door click shut just as I realize my keys are on the front table. The weirdest thing I tell ya. Plus I don’t have to stress whether i remembered to lock the door. So this door lock is reducing my anxiety. I don’t mind either that it talks to say locked or unlocked. Kind of pleasant.Negatives:-it only works with the app if you’re standing right next to it.-it will still lock even if the door is open, so I have to holler at people to check the lock before they close the door behind them.-the app requires you to enter an email when you add a new passcode and it emails the passcode there. Outdated IMO so I just email it to myself. An optional text would be just fine.-it was difficult to figure out how to choose the longer bolt length when installing. Once I figured it out it was like duh but it took me over an hour of combing YouTube videos for ideas. And now I don’t remember at all that I did. If I remember, I’ll update the review.Overall this purchase was a major win and I have never regretted it. I recommend it to everyone.
