works well in my off grid garden
I use it to stop the pump when the water towner is full in my off grid garden. I have it run through a relay to start and stop the pump. Works very well.

Good S.S. construction. The float electrical contacts open during high level and close on low level. This needs to be noted in description.

Sorry, but People can not read directions.It works IN either NO or NC. Just Flip FloatYes, It can also be mounted from TOP or Bottom.IF IT FAILS its because you are trying to pull too much power through it.It is designed to switch a relay or something that pulls lower than 20Va.This thing is currently operating the water level in a Industrial Hot water Parts Washing machine. Water temps are 180 F. It is constanly having to fill. BUT as the directions explain, you need to use a relay to drive the water solenoid. I found one solenoid that is used for Ice Makers that is lower than 20 Va.

Cannot handle even a fraction of rated load
Gone through several of these. Just the load of a 24v HVAC relay will weld this float switch’s reed contacts closed. Rating says 1amp, but in a real world application, I’d say it can handle only 100 mA. Easy to install, but in our case, it requires draining a 6000 gallon water tank to do so, and that is cause for great aggravation over this product’s quality and durability.

Nice Feel
Unfortunately it wasn't quite a fit for my purposes but has a really great quality feel too it for the price and I did test it to verify function.
