I am not into spending too much on anything but shoes!! Why? Because if my feet are happy, I can keep going!! And these shoes are right up there with my Five finger Vibram water shoes, but more comfortable. I am so glad I researched until i discovered these amazing minimalistic sandals! In the summer especially, less is more. I highly recommend this product!The strap is a little long, but that’s where creativity comes in. I just tuck it under and that’s it!

These shoes are great so far, the only complaint I have is that the Velcro on the back of the heel is quite small, the shoes fit my feet perfectly however the Velcro on the back barely reaches to fasten.

The pictures were taken after a week of use. I was afraid of how well the sandals would hold on my feet with these simple straps but my experience is that they hold very well. I went on an excursion today on a small hill, on a dusty-stony, sometimes quite steep path, and felt totally comfortable and safe from all points of view. No slipping inside the sandals or on the ground, either on my way up or down. Even big rocks are ok to step on, yet there is a definite communication between my feet and the ground. Surprisingly, I had almost no problem with little stones/pieces of dry grass etc. getting between my feet and the soles of the sandals. I am very satisfied, more than expected. I even find the look of dark grey mini-socks acceptable with these sandals although usually I highly dislike the combination of socks and sandals. I am in a transition from normal shoes to barefoot shoes due to health problems (long lasting plantar fasciis), and I just love these sandals. I will probably also try the non-tracking thinner-sole version of the same sandals for town use. The thinner the soles, the better on asphalt - that's my experience so far. But for tougher ground, this is the right sole. I highly recommend these sandals! It is a different world with barefoot shoes, and to me, it is a much better one than with super-soft shoes that misguide my feet and my entire body about how I should stand/walk. One more thing: at first, I was afraid that the back stripes would not hold, like for many users who complain about this, because there is a short place where there is no velcro and it seemed that I would need it exactly there. But then I tried to fasten the strap in a more tight position where there was more velcro, and it actually turned out to be better so. In a week's time, I never had a problem of the strap opening or not holding enough.

These were great for our recent trip to CO, however after a few days use and some exposure to rain the Velcro is starting to fray.
