A pet owners dream
Absolutely incredible!! My wife and I decided to get a second puppy and that meant twice the hair. It was okay to sweep, vacuum, and mop with one. But two meant daily vacuuming and after 6 months it was getting to be too much.Roborock Q8 Max to the rescue! It is amazingly precise, navigates around our furniture, as well as hanging wires and other difficult to circumvent sort of obstacles it’s got really great suction even though it’s an older model and I know that newer ones have higher pressure. I can’t complain a bit. It’s picked up everything off our floor, dirt debris, and most importantly pet hair. And believe me we’ve got tons of it with these two puppies running around. The transitions easily from floor to carpet and over thresholds between room rooms. It’s programmable to be able to run with the grain of your floor or to target just specific rooms or areas as needed.I work remotely and when I’m in meetings or on phone calls we can run the unit and not only do I barely hear it unless it is right next to me, but anyone I might be on a call or in a meeting with cannot hear it either. The highest noise level is once it’s done and returned to its base. It will self empty, but it’s just a few moments of noise and not overbearing so we don’t mind. If we were to run it in the middle of the night, I suppose we might hear that, but it’s not something we need to do so we haven’t run it at night yetUnfortunately, we have not tried out the mop feature. It does require their specific fluid for mopping which doesn’t seem too terribly expensive and we do plan on trying it in the near future. We both love the app and remote control and the customizability that it allows.OK, this review is way too long, but if any of you have pets and are considering this stop thinking about it and buy one you will not regret it if you do buy this I hope you enjoyed as much as we did and enjoy the extra free time it gives you

In love
If loving this Roborock is wrong, I don't want to be right. I think this is the second review that I have ever written in my life about anything, and I am 53, but I just had to do it. I hope this gives some validity to my review. LOL. Since I first saw this type of product, I have always wanted one, but I always hesitated. I finally broke down and bought it. I am not a messy person, but I tend to delay the vacuuming and mopping. First, I want to say that it is very easy to do the setup. I saw a few previous consumer comments about it not connecting with Google home. That is not true. After you install the roborock app, then you just have to go to your Google home app, select the plus sign to add a device, select the option "set up device", select the option "works with Google home", and then scroll forever until you get to the roborock app. Then the device is added. You can rename it if you want to do so. I named mine "David Wallace" because I am a fan of The Office, and he has the invention that "sucks", and also the song that he and his son sings "suck it". So I just have to say, "hey google, have David Wallace clean my house", and she says,"ok.starting David Wallace." I am amazed everyday. The first time that I used it, I was a little bit frustrated and confused. Even though I had read other reviews that this would happen, I still thought it would go smoothly the first time for some reason. It ran around the house like a crazy robot. It was really just mapping out the house like it was supposed to do. The second time was a thousand times better, and after the third time it's been nothing but bliss. Yes, the bin is not that big compared to some other reviews that I have read, and it filled up pretty quickly the first and second time. I did not do any prep beforehand, so I guess that was expected. Ever since, I've been running it at least every other day, and it doesn't fill up so quickly, and I don't have to empty it every time... about ever third time. As for the mopping capability, it is not the same as a person scrubbing the floor. I tend to use the mop mode about every second time that I vacuum. I get that it is just a pad with some water running around my house, but if you continually do it, it's the same as continually vacuuming. You just have to rinse out the mop pad, which shows some dirt, which means it's working. I was surprised that it actually talks. I didn't realize that it had a voice. It will say that it is starting, and it tells you that it's heading back to the dock. I was just surprised when it started talking back to me. Loved it! I have a cat, and I thought she was going to attack the thing at first, but I think she has gotten used to it, and she hasn't damaged it at all. She more or less just follows it everywhere. The app is super cool to watch as it goes through your house. It might just be covid-19 and boredom, but I think I watched it for the first few times the entire time it went around my house. It takes about 43 minutes to do my first floor. I just have a normal size two story house. I haven't tried the upstairs yet, but that is on my list. The charging capacity is awesome! I have never even come close to the battery running low. The mop water capacity is also absolutely fine. I actually use bottled water just because my water is terrible in my neighborhood even with my water softener. I do want to say that I have a multicolored area rug that it doesn't like at all. I read a similar review about this. My rug is black, gray, and white with swirls. It gets confused on the black areas. I think it thinks that it is a void or some type of drop-off, which makes it not fall down the stairs, but it doesn't recognize the black. I just blocked that part out as a no-go zone in the app (super cool and super easy to set up no-vacuum zones and no -mop zones. It's also easy super easy to just have it mop or vacuum a particular zone.). Although that is not ideal, I think it is completely amazing how accurate the laser is . It will literally go on the white and gray swirls and stop and turn around when it gets to the black part. It is some major precision ! I literally have nothing terrible at all to say about this product. I can't believe I waited this long to get one. I have told every single family member and friend about how awesome it is. I don't know anyone else who has a robovac, so I can only speak to this one and my own experience. But I highly recommend it! It also helps me keep my shoes out of the middle of the floor. It will go around my shoes, but the point is it helps me keep the rest of my house tidy so David Wallace can do his job! I hope I didn't ramble too much ;)

Roborock Vacuum Review – A Solid Upgrade
I recently upgraded from my 5-year-old Roborock to this newer model, and I’m very impressed so far. Although I haven’t tried the mop function yet (and may not use it at all), the vacuuming performance alone makes it worth the upgrade. The suction power is excellent—strong enough to easily handle my dog’s short hair without any issues. It maps the house accurately, and the app adds a lot of value with features like customizable cleaning zones and schedules. I especially appreciate the maintenance schedule in the app, which shows the remaining life of parts like the filter and brushes—very helpful for keeping things running smoothly.Overall, it's a reliable, smart vacuum that handles pet hair well and makes upkeep easy. Highly recommended for anyone looking to upgrade.
