I absolutely love these nesting pads. I have 6 chickens. I have three nesting boxes, but they only all use one. So I only put the one pad in. My eggs are always clean. Ok, so I'm still fairly new to chickens. My girls have been laying since late August. I do have a large rollout nestbox but not everyone likes to lay in it. So I added a few milk crates in the coop and I purchased these nest pads to place in the bottom of the crates. When I first took one out of the box, it seemed a bit flat but the fibers seemed to be soft and looked comfy. Well, let me tell you. The ladies love these! They can scratch around, fluff and shape them to their heart's content. After several days I can simply remove the soiled top layer of fibers (my youngest ladies sometimes wanna sleep in the boxes at night and of course...poop lol) and there is still plenty of padding left for them. My eggs are actually a lot cleaner and I notice less damaged eggs. I will definitely be purchasing these again!

My girls stay so clean, a pad will last 8-9 months before needing replaced. They're super easy to swap out. If I do have a random egg crack I don't have to toss the whole pad, I just pull up what got wet. These are thick and the hens fluff them up to get comfy. We're all happy.

These are great for keeping out eggs clean - we live in a very muddy area and that has been an issue in the past. A little pricy, but they last a long time with our hens and they can’t kick them out of the nesting boxes!
