Not the greatest image
Was hoping this would deliver a clear image...but my iPhone is still WAY better for image quality and light management. This really isn't any different than my old Vixia HF-10 from 2008. Plus the "Renewed" means the lens cover was open and fingerprints on the viewfinder are standard.

Beware of Canon's so called remote control.
Canon's remote control for Vixia HF30 does not work and Canon's customer service just quotes the manual. Their is a separate app (not Canon's) that tries to work but ultimately fails Not the app's fault but Canons. If you are looking for a camcorder that takes good videos, has good features and a good price, then the Vixia HF R800 & HF R80 are decent camcorders. If you are looking for a camcorder with wireless remote control stay away, far away from Canon's HF R80. BTW, I have tried repeatedly for over a week trying to get the remote to work but no luck. Prolly going to return and get either a Sony or Panasonic. Very disappointing. DSLR . . Canon is one of the best.

Good Buy
This has been a good camcorder for the money. I would buy it again. My only gripe is that the battery takes a very long time to charge. The battery is large and therefore lasts long enough for me to film one and a half of my kids football games with no problem. They are often back to back and the slow charging time makes it hard maintain a charge by charging at halftime and in between games to get both games on film. I will have to purchase another battery to resolve this issue for me.

This small camera isn’t a professional camera but for the price it does a great job. Everything was as advertised and got it in two days. Great little camera

Didn't like that the battery charger that it came with smelt burnt, and was afraid to use it. But the company sent another one promptly. Works fine.
