I bought this to expand the storage in my Eufy HomeBase 3 and have had absolutely no issues. I just popped it in and formatted and it was good to go.

I purchased this exact storage five years ago to install in the Ubiquiti, Protect Gen2+. That drive lasted about five years, constantly writing to it from six cameras footage. I didn't think twice before purchasing it again. I recommend this Seagate Barracuda storage for NVR needs.

As another user stated the drive will not format anymore. The drive lasted about 6 months total. I had an issue 3 months in but was able to fix it with a reformat. The second time it was dead. I bought this for my Eufy Homebase for video storage and am very disappointed. I’ll be buying an ssd to replace this more than likely. Stay away from this drive!

A great pick to expand capacity for my Eufy Home Base 3.

First, some caveats: according to CrystalDiskInfo it's a SATA 3Gb/s drive; it's SMR, it's 5400RPM, and it's unusually thick at 15mm, about twice as thick as a 7mm SSD, unusably so in applications with limited 2.5" drive clearance, such as laptops or slim-form game consoles. In other words, this drive is desktop-only. So why four stars? Because for my use case, none of that matters. I use this for movies and TV shows, simple media playback perfected decades ago, where sequential reads are all that matter. I can open a film or an episode and within a second or two, it starts and stays smooth until the end. As this is an SMR drive, it is unsuitable for heavy-write workloads, but if you're in the market for a 2.5" hard drive, it's either for a laptop -- which this drive probably doesn't fit in -- or the 5TB capacity for data hoarders. Five stars for my use, two stars for the actual drive, averaged to 3.5, rounded up to four because if you're savvy enough to be considering this drive you probably know its limitations and don't care. Works as it should.

The pricing was good on this drive but it is twice as thick as a normal 2.5in. drive. This means that it won't fit in the bay(s) of my NUC mini PCs so I can use it there. The same may be true for many laptops. The thickness may be normal for contemporary 2.5in. drives but it was more than I can use.

Bought for my enfu security camera home base. Easy to install and no complaints other than the price.

Best small hard drive on the market I would say. My son has he steam game on these. No lag when playing games. You get what u paid for. So pay more for a reliable hard drive. Just put it in ur pc. Formatt it and works great.

Une excellant disque dur, et ne suis pas déçu. 2.5" oblige, le disque est bien plus compact que les autres. Ce disque dur est juste parfait si vous avez besoin de stocker de grandes quantités de données. Seagate est bien connue en tant que fabricant de disques de tout type. Vue le prix, je le recommande.
