My go-to brakes
I was in dire need of brakes on my 2011 F150. I’ve had good luck with Detroit in the past. I was just planning to sell the truck when I switched these out, but have now decided to keep the truck for a lot longer and put money into it. I would choose these again even now. We’ll see how long they last. I don’t use brakes very often. I don’t believe in the chicken pedal. For the price, you absolutely cannot beat it. Even if the pads fail super fast, the rotors have already paid for themselves. All the quality appears to be there. Been installed for a couple months with no issues.

Works great
Easy to install, direct replacement. Rotors are starting to rust in the unprotected areas but, does not affect the preformance so far.

Awful customer service!!!
Worst customer service I’ve had in a long time.I bought these in an effort to save money which turned out to be a big mistake. I bought these in April 2020 and took them to my local mechanic to install. They seemed to scrub a little at first, but we thought maybe they needed to set. It seemed to be okay for a couple of months but then began screeching and scrubbing badly every time I broke in my vehicle.I went back to my mechanic and after just three months the pads and rotors were both bad. I had to pay another $316 to pay for new pads and rotors and labor...again.I kept the pads and rotors with the intent of getting a refund as most any reputable company would do for a faulty product....but not Detroit Axle. I was told that despite these having a 10 year warranty, I could only get a refund the first 30 days and would need to contact the company regarding the warranty. That’s where things get fun, my wife called first while I was at work and Detroit Axle says that they can’t do anything because we’ve already replaced the parts. Never mind that it’s dangerous to drive with bad breaks, but I’m expected to pay for parts shipping and wait on that on top of the fact that they don’t do jack about my duplicated labor cost. We kept the old pads and rotors so that we could ship them and see for themselves.I called three additional times. The first time the lady took 10 minutes just to locate my order and that was sadly the best experience I had. She was going to see about sending me a new set and quote me the price of shipping. After being on hold several minutes, she returns and says “ thank you for holding” and the call disconnects.Next call, I get a young guy and tell him I was disconnected and he says they’d have to go look at a call log to see who I talked with. This company only has about 150 employees, but apparently they don’t notate anything or communicate internally. He then proceeds to start giggling as it sounds like he’s cutting up with a coworker. The line suddenly gets muted, I wait for a few minutes and never hear from him again.Third call: I ask to speak with a manager. Rodrigo asks if he can at least get my order number. I give it to him, and at least he immediately locates the order unlike the first two reps. He then says he remembers my order???? Apparently it’s the same guy my wife spoke with a few days earlier. He says he will transfer me to his manager, puts me on hold and after 13 minutes I never hear from him or the manager and just hung up.Boy do I wish I’d just paid a little more for the parts up front. This company obviously has no concern for their customers or their reputation.Never again will I buy from these clowns.
