Great quality and price
This bowl is better than I imagined. It’s heavy, high quality and beautiful! It comes with instructions on how to season and care for it and also comes with an adhesive pad for the bottom of the bowl so it can be pushed across your countertop with ease. If you’re considering adding something like this to your kitchen, this brand is the way to go!

Good for home use
Good build quality and the color of stone is nice looking. Good value for the money and can hold and of spice at once. Creates a nice smooth grind.

Stable and very sturdy, works great!
I like that it is heavy and stable. Comes with a stick-on rubber pad and an extra, to keep it from slipping or scratching your counters. The pestle is also substantial and really does the job and comfortable to hold. They also included a slip on rubber grip for the pestle if you need it, but mostly we don't use that. If I were to do a lot of grinding in a single session I might use it to give my hand some padding. We mostly use it (so far) for grinding spices. The granite is the perfect surface as it has a bit of texture so the spices don't just slide around as you try to grind as the do on my previous stainless steel one.Follow the instructions to season it first and you will have excellent results!

Nice and rough, perfect size.
Exactly what I needed, perfect size - not big, but medium size perfect for grinding spices, mashing garlic, etc. Stone is nice a rough for quick breaking down of whatever you put in it. It looks nice on the shelf and doesn't take up a lot of space.

Heavy weight
Attractive piece of granite, well rounded centered mortar and good sized pestle. The short downside is that it has to be seasoned. Not a quick and easy process. The least they could have done is grind down the rice. It takes some energy and time which they could have easily done by machine. BTW There are other steps to season the mortar.

Good quality
Bought this for the wife, and she loves it. The item is reasonably priced, solid, and of good quality. Grindability is great. The 2 cup capacity works well for her intended purpose. Overall, we're happy with the purchase.

Strong and sturdy
This is the first mortar and pestle I've ever owned, and I'm quite pleased with it. The initial seasoning by crushing white rice took awhile, and honestly my arm got sore because I hadn't figured out yet that it's about finding a correct pace instead of just going as fast as possible. After that it's been a breeze, easy for spices, easy cleanup, etc. Not sure everyone gets one or if it was a limited time thing, but my package also included a garlic peeler described as a "free gift." How nice is that?
