GP601 - Piano Repertoire - Baroque & Classical - Level 1 Review: Easy and appealing adaptations of Baroque and Classical music - Easy, yet pleasing adaptations of Baroque and Classical music by J. S. Bach, J. C. Bach, L. Mozart, F. J. Haydn and many other well-known period composers. The pieces are all one page, except one by Philosopher J.J Rousseau, with repeats that make performance time longer. The selections sound professional; although, they are relatively quick studies. I enjoy playing them, and the arrangements are helping me increase my playing skills in left and right hands without frustration. They give me a good sense of accomplishment from playing the great music of the 18th and 19th Centuries. I heartily recommend this book for late beginners and early intermediate students of piano for all ages. I'm 66. Review: Very nice collection - Nicely complied music, great for students needing a way to move out of basic piano methods and into the real repertoire.

Excellent for Beginner to Intermediate Pianist
I love this book the first piece is challenging but not so difficult to be frustrating...more enjoyable to work on and learn. Recommend this book and it's sister Romantic and 20th Century.

Good book for progressive ‘classical’ music
Great book for students to help students progress gradually in different genres of piano repertoire. This book would be more a combination of Grade 1 and Grade 2 Level (UK standards)

Excellent series!
This is an excellent piano series. My older son is teaching lessons to my younger son, and we got this book bc it's a lower level of the Keith snell book his piano teacher uses for him. At first we thought t might be too difficult fir my younger son, but he is picking it up and sounding so good. It's much better than the simple little "hot-crossed buns" -type songs from his other beginning books that he just finished.

Perfect condition and service
The is the perfect book for a late in life piano student. The book was recommended by my piano teacher and we both are pleased with the level of the songs.

As for reading music they are good, as for learning the stuff with out utube or the CD it is very hard, Also no fingering, considering this is level one, they only give indications to fingering, which is way above level one. So one must use these with a teacher. The cds for this book are very hard to find. Update yep 5 years later this book is easy if you keep at. You need to get the skill on how to assign you fingers to the notes. That can take a long time but its worth it.

Je suis très contente de ce recueil. J'ai débuté le piano il y a trois mois et je suis capables d'aborder ces morceaux qui sont intéressants. Je recommande cet achat.

Font is a little too large but I find that most beginner/easy piano stuff has this issue. The rest is perfect.
