Superb For Hi Hats
Perfect for holding a pencil condenser mic. Install mic clip and mic onto this puppy and clamp it to the hi hat stand. Makes micing the hats super easy!

Handy & Affordable
Works great for mics, cameras, lights. I’ve used this to hang things in ceilings, mount them in cars. Inexpensive, strong grip, good material - worth it just to have on hand.

The ball joint can't hold much weight
I wanted to use this to hold a boom arm that would hold my microphone over my head for my PC setup. The clamp attached and held perfectly, all the materials seem strong... but the clamping force holding the ball joint steady just isn't enough to keep it from sagging. I had to take the ball joint off(it simply unscrews, conveniently) and attach the boom directly to the clamp. I know I was asking a lot of it to hold up an AT2020 and shock mount on the end of a ~35 inch boom, lots of leverage there, so I won't knock off more than a star for it.

Sturdy Clamp with Lots of Adjustment
This CAMVATE clamp has been very useful for mounting small accessories exactly where I need them. The clamp feels solid, grips securely, and the articulated ball head makes it easy to adjust the position and angle. Once tightened, it stays in place without slipping. The compact size is also great for tight spaces around studio or camera equipment. Well made, versatile, and a very handy mounting accessory to have around.
