Patrick Cameron: Dressing Long Hair Book 2 (Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority/Thomson Learning)

Cameron's hair books are more expensive than most of my books ever purchased at University-:). But, I finally managed to find a decent priced used copy on Amazon! All I can say is that this book is amazing styling for long hair. The pics are great and the instructions are easy to follow. It would be great if he'd do a book for short hair too!

What an awesome book! There are large pictures and very easy to use. It gives a lot of ideas to improvise. Definite treasure to have. Will highly recommend. Every beauty shop should have one! Even though I'm giving 5 stars, wish there was more then 15 styles and less priced.

The pictures for each step are very detailed and each hairstyle is very unique. My only problem was that there was very limited written instruction to go with each picture step. Other then that, a great book.

I think the photography is beautiful. it takes the mystery out of twisting hair, using bobby pins and clips. criss crissing hair is easy with this book. the straight hair styles are not complex at all. if you ever wish to discuss long hair with me personally, use yahoo messenger. If you want to impress someone or have a big event - this is the book for you! Patrick has some very interesting styles! These are not every day hair styles though! I must admit they are different and will impress! I like his big picture too.

my wife is very happy with this book. a lot of high quality pictures, the procedures are clearly explained using text and images.i highly recommend this product.

Wonderful photo's and detailed directions on how-to duplicate styles within this book!Gave me great inspiration in designing my own variations by seeing the techniques used within this book.

Die Frisuren sind total altbacken und kompliziert. Überall wird antoupiert, bei wirklich langen Haaren in kombination mit einem guten Friseur und nur etwas Haarspray eigentlich total überflüssig und schädlich für die Haare. Camaron hätte sich mal die zweite Staffel von "Verliebt in Berlin" mit den Frisuren von Laura Oswald ansehen sollen. Dann hätte er auch genug frische Inspiration für sein Buch gehabt. Aber solche Gruselschocker wie der Buff oder die Titania (mit künstlichen Haarteilen - igitt!) wären uns erspart geblieben. Die Banane kann auch er nicht überzeugend und verständlich erklären. Fazit - Wenn man Regisseur von Wagner-Opern ist oder Kostümfilme über das 18.- oder 19. Jahrhundert dreht, ist man mit diesem Buch gerade gut bedient. Alle anderen warten bitte weiter auf ein modernes flippiges Buch für Langhaarfrisuren, die schön, aber doch locker wirken und dabei unkompliziert zu stecken sind.

Voller Freude packte ich den "Ordner" aus und war entsetzt über diese Hochsteckfrisuren, überhaupt nicht zeitgemäß - 80iger Jahre Stil. Für mich war keine Friseur dabei und ich habe super lange glatte Haare, will doch nicht wie eine Oma herumlaufen mit 30.

Es ist wirklich ein Traum dieses Buch. Mehrere alltagstaugliche Frisuren, mit Anmerkungen in 7 Sprachen, sind nach einiger Zeit des Übens durchaus umzusetzen. Die Frisuren werden in einzenen Schritten bebildert dargestellt. Hilfsmaterialien werden in mehreren Sprachen erklärt. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.
