I really was excited about this bento box. It has wonderful reviews and, so far I think rightly so in spite of receiving one with the exterior cracked. The box locks extremely tight and I didn't find it difficult to unlatch open and close. The inside compartments definitely seem to check out in the leak proof department although I haven't officially put that to the test. The only reason why I took away a star is because one box came damaged. As you see it didn't come packaged in bubble wrap which very well could have been why the side messed up. The inside of the damaged box wasn't cracked at all, only the outside. The containers seem durable enough for the average commute they'd be used for, maybe just not the banging and bumping around that happens with shipping. So although I got a defective box , I still think it is a nice lunch box and worth checking out.

I like the compartment sizes and the overall size of this bento. It fits perfectly in my son's lunch box and I can put enough food in there. HOWEVER, the lid on the bento warped after about 3 uses and now it's hard to close. I can muscle it closed but my 7 year old usually just throw the the lid and container in his lunch box cuz he can't get the lid on. I don't use the dishwasher and I've never packed scalding hot food in there so not sure what caused the warping. Too bad I bought a 2 pack and now I have 1 bento that won't get used and 1 that's going in the trash after a handful of uses. I don't recommend.

Being on an alternative diet, I often have to take my own meals with me when we travel or visit other people. The Bento lunch box is exactly what I have been looking for. It eliminates having to have so many little containers when preparing a meal. At first I bought a set; but then quickly realized that I needed another set! This allows me to plan ahead and have meals on the go. I like how the Bento box is not only easy to clean, but also there is a leak proof seal that really works! The idea of Bento lunch boxes is genius for anyone - young or old who is on the go!

This has got to be the best Bento box set I've ever used! My husband takes a lunch every day to work, and he has always thrown other tupperwea-like containers into his backpack, and hasn't always had the best luck with those other containers staying closed!! The Deluxe Bento Box Set is sturdy, leakproof, slim, gender neutral, and cleans up beautifully with no residue or stains. It stays closed and sealed and my husband (and myself) are very happy that we don't have to clean up spills anymore!

Lids are a bit shoddy - they seal okay but don't latch very positively. My wife left some food in one too long and it got moldy. The plastic and rubber/silicone cleaned up great without any stains or anything.I would probably buy another product to see if it performs better before buying these again. For the price, they work just fine, though.

I put cheese in the lunch box and microwaved it. Part of the plastic melted a little bit. And the lunch box is not leak-proof. Everyday when I put my lunch box in my backpack, I have to use a plastic bag to hold it, so the water won't leak out and go all over my backpack. I don't think I will buy this lunch box again.

These are the perfect size for my kids' lunches. They fit well in their lunchboxes and are easy for them to open and close. They also hold a lot of food. My kids are super excited to pack their own lunches now, and the seals are strong enough to keep messy things in their separate containers. Love them!

The seals on these are awesome. Hand wash only - the dishwasher will warp the lids. Packed in an elementary schoolers lunch pail and no leaks at all. Food stays separate in the compartments as well. Haven’t tried watery/broth soup - but great for dressings, chili, stews and Curry’s.
