Daughter in law loves it

It's cute but you practically have to be sitting right next to it to hear it...and that's without so much as a fan on in the room, much less music or TV.

I bought this because it was the perfect size for my office. I am very disappointed because it leaks inside the fountain towards the back opening and it splashes everywhere and leaves a puddle of water. If the leak was coming from the tube, I could fix that, but the leak is somewhere inside the fountain. I cannot use it at all because it will ruin my desk. Poorly designed!!

I was fairly impressed with this when I first got it put together. I mean, the downsides were plainly obvious at that point, but I was still pretty happy with the basic aesthetic of the fountain. However, within 30 minutes of use, the pump began ringing out like an audible dog whistle. And it's done this every time I've tried using it since.To be clear, the pump is (and has been) correctly installed, suctioned to the bottom, free of blockages, and completely submerged in water. But my household simply can't handle this item being plugged in because of the pump noise, no matter how cute we think it is when running.Some other issues you'd want to know ahead of purchasing include the god-awful instructions (where things are written incomprehensibly in broken English, and there are literal stickers placed over past errors). The pump section is extremely hard to work within due to its space limitations. The singular light on the fountain, while effective, has a white plastic edging which makes this look very cheap. And you can't easily pour water into the pump area; meaning you're likely going to spill some water in the process, and will need to physically feel for the water's depth.I do like the look of the rock, the flow of the water, and the gentle (yet noticeable) sound of the water moving. But I wouldn't recommend this to anyone so long as the manufacturer can't make pumps which don't sound like my ears are ringing.
