Shiny and Happy!
FIRST IMPRESSIONS“It’s a shiny acorn!”The stainless steel and the round shape really do make it look like a cute little acorn! It’s well constructed, with the chain and hook very firmly attached to the body of the infuser. The holes are in a simple pattern and are all evenly spaced around both the top and bottom halves. GENERAL FEEDBACKI was a little concerned about the hole size in this infuser so I tried out a few different teas in this strainer, to see if I’d get many escapee tea leaves. The tea from standard twinings tea bags didn’t do well as it was too fine, but I expected that (that’s why its already in bags!) The tea that worked the best was my yummy berry tea, which only left a small amount of residue at the bottom of my cup (pictured below)The design of the holes allowed enough water to pass through at a decent rate. My tea had plenty of flavour and was still hot when it had steeped enough. I think, perhaps, that the steel body helps keep the temperature of the tea up.The tea infuser is a bit tricky to open and close at first, until you get the hang of the little bumps and grooves that are the closing mechanism. I actually like that it’s a bit difficult to open as you’ll be less likely to end up with it dumping all the tea into your cup.The hook sat easily on both my little tea cup and my mammoth coffee mug, and the chain is long enough that I can use the infuser in coffee mug and it will reach the bottom.I have some mint in the garden so I’ll be trying this out on it once the plant grows a bit more. It would be a nice way to add herbs to your bath too, if you’re that way inclined. This would solve the problem of having bits of flower sticking to you, or getting in the drain. It could also serve as an air freshener with some pot pourri, or cotton and essential oils inside. If you know someone who drinks leaf tea, this would be a great stocking stuffer for them!

it works?
It does work. However, it leaves small pcs to pass thru (not too bad) but you have to fiddle-around opening and closing it which may try your patience! It is workable and I use mine every day.

Makes a great cup of tea
My mother had one flying around in the kitchen draw for years. When I finally started drinking tea I couldn't find it. I was so glad they still make this.i bought loose tea from Amazon I couldn't wait to use it...and I wasn't disappointed. It made a great cup of tea. Easy to clean just open dump whatever left and rinse.

hard to open and heavy
Original review....1 = the ball is heavy, so you can't let the chain go to steep: you must hold it or it falls to the bottom of the cup.I did not ask the vendor for a replacement of my product. I received an email stating they were sorry that I was unhappy with my purchase and asking questions about the quality of the product. Pretty quickly they realized my infuser was missing a hook on the end, so they replaced it. Without a request for me and without a complaint directly to them -only by reading my review they reached out to me, solved the problem and replace the ball. That in my opinion deserves a 5 rating. Customer service still lives.

I ended up with coffee grounds not coffee
It's difficult to screw together. It's not very thick, I'm afraid to put pressure against it. I used it with finely ground coffee but couldn't drink it, had to chew it. I threw it away.

Not Using It For Tea
Okay, so I didn't buy this for tea leaves. Actually, I put a small auto air freshener in it and tossed it in my gym bag. It works great, has enough holes to allow the aroma to vent and is durable. - Works for what I intended it to do. What else can you ask for?.. The cap can be a little tough to open at times, but a little dab of vegi oil on the cap lip and you're G2G.

Not very good @ all
I'm a new tea drinker. These were my 1st tea strainers. They'd open up when using them. Even when not opening up, all kinds of tea debris came out it's holes.
