Dayker 4W G4 Base AC/DC 12V LED Lamp Bulb 64 LED SMD3014 Bi Pin Daylight LED Corn Bulb 30W Halogen Replacement(4 Pack)

I have a very expensive Wolf range hood that has four halogen 20W lights that I wanted to replace with LEDs. For some reason, the halogens seem to draw a bit too much current for the transformer in the Wolf, and when one of these bulbs died, it managed to damage the controller board and the transformer - believe it or not, a $1500 repair. Thankfully, Wolf has wonderful customer service, and they agreed to send me the parts for free, even though my unit was out of warrantee.After installing a brand new transformer in the range hood, I thought it might last a little longer if it had to drive a smaller load...4 of these 4W LEDS is only 16W, versus the 80W load of the original halogens. Installing the LEDs was simple - if anything, they're slightly smaller than the halogen bulbs they replaced, and the pins on the base are exactly the correct size.In terms of performance, I have to say that the Dayker bulbs put out light that's slightly less attractive than the original halogen bulbs. For one thing, the light is somewhat more narrowly focused - more of a spotlight than a floodlight, and certainly not as even lighting as the halogen bulbs provided.The second issue is that the color temperature is just a little artificial with a bit of an unnatural yellowish cast (we have the warm white bulbs). I suppose this is true of many LEDs - the color temperature might be the same, but somehow the spectrum is "compressed". The light is crisp and clear, but you know you're looking at LED lighting.Final issue is flickering when the bulbs are dimmed. The appliance we installed these bulbs into has "high" and "low" light settings, and on low, there's a bit of a flicker. It's not terrible, but if you look closely, you can make it out and then it gets to be really distracting. Thing is, since the LEDs consume such low power, we tend to seldom use the low setting, so this isn't the end of the world.On a positive side, the bulbs do produce ample light and they tend to run stone cold. I'm sure they make an easy load for the built-in transformer to drive, and hopefully that adds up to a long lifetime. I have no regrets overall and would use these again without hesitation.

I am using them in a wall mounted house number sign, replacing two 12V incandescent bulbs. Power source is a 12V AC transformer. Each bulb is very bright when connected to 12V AC. With two bulbs in series, both bulbs had to be polarized in the same direction. This is a 50/50 chance of getting it right the first time. Because the incandescent bulbs used a different socket, I ended up using a connector strip and bending the leads of the bulb to fit. Only 1/2 of each bulb is lit, but the illumination is much brighter than the incandescent being replaced and I hope that by running them in Series (1/2 voltage) they will never need replacement.

Excellent quality, but these things are MASSIVE; the bulb is 1.25 inches long and .50 inches in diameter, so keep that in mind when you compare it to the tiny halogen you are replacing. Also, these are "daylight" definitely not a soft white.

The pins fit in the lamp socket correctly. The body of this LED unit is substantially larger than it appears in the comparison photo of the listing.In the lamp with the bulb perpendicular to the center axis of the reflector the bulbs fits and works ok. On lamps where the pin socket is in the center of the reflector the LED unit is too deep for most shallow lamps.

I bought these to use with Volt outdoor lights. They seem to work fine but they are not nearly as bright as the Volt 4w g4 bulbs that came with some of the lights. Then again those bulbs are $15 each

Using in our pathway walk lights . Working great and have not had to reset the pins as the old style got corroded over a short time . These have not turned off due to this corrosion ! The lights are a little bright as I was using the 4 watt bulbs before. But I would buy again if these LEDs ever burn out ?

The light bulbs around on time. The light bulbs were as described. great customer service from the seller. Bulbs were not as bright as my old halogen bulbs.

Nice and bright, color temperature as advertised. But there is some flickering that borders on too much. For now I will leave them in. This is in a range hood that does not have a dimmer function for the lights.

Excellent lighting. More the I expected.
