This is my very first experience with welding, and this auto-darkening helmet has been a great tool to start with. To be honest, it was a bit difficult for me to adapt to the light changes at first, but after some practice, it gets much easier. The true color lens gives a very clear view, and having the built-in light is a huge help for seeing the workspace clearly. It offers an excellent quality-price ratio, making it a highly recommended and affordable choice for any beginner looking for reliable protection!

The light makes it so nice. Many spare batteries so you don’t have to worry about finding the right one when the auto darken feature. It fits perfectly with the adjustments that come on it. Very light on the head compared to a pancake mask. Just put her on and get to welding. You have the adjustment knobs for grinding and welding directly on the side so there is no need to take it off to jump back and forth between the grinder and the welder.

I ordered this and the first one was just awful. It wouldn't go dark hardly ever. The sensitivity knibs clicked like every quarter turn like a switch. It wouldn't every go dark when it should but rest assured it would flicker black as soon as I'm there was no reason for it to but only for a moment.. I took a star off for that experience. And the fact that the second one I caught major issues trying to get the stesp in right where it opened. And closed correctly. I had no issue with that with the first one so it may have been a me thing. Once I got the head steak right it has been great. This my fourth or fifth different auto darkening hood to buy and try and it's bt far my favorite as so long as it keeps working the way it is now and the first one was just a bad luck deal. Pros. Batteries seem to last and comes with extras Head lamp has multiple functions and is USB chargable Does a great job at darkening when it should and staying clear when it should. It obviously will occasionally flicker when you don't want it to but that's to be expected. Head bans is adjustable and resizeable At first I thought it was just way to small lol Cons. First one was awful and didn't work right in multiple ways I may have messed up installing the head band but when I raise the hood to see without it I'm my vision and lifted above my head it is very sensitive and falls every time I move my need my head. I believe it's supposed to be very easy to make fall as I know many whi use always dark hoods just tirn there head to drop it right when they start to be weld but it would be nice if you could make it m stay open at least by locking it in place somehow or tightening the headbands knobs....... Results all in all I would buy this again the price was great it includes good batteries that are good Brand and seem to last quite some time. The little built in head lamp flashlight is pretty nice and I was surprised when it was rechargable and even came with a cable . It has a couple extra lenses. I do hope we can buy more in bulk when the extras are worn out but I fear that's probably the trap and you have to just reorder the hood... Though it's cheap enough if it last 5 months or a year I'll buy it again if I can replace the shields. Although being able to affordably buy the shields as a cheap consumeables would make this nearly the perfect good, especially considering the price range. Thanks

Look for $25 this is the best deal I have had in years. For me a recreational, fix-it person, this allows me to weld again. I am diabetic with retinopathy and my Speedglas helmet, tho 20 years old seemed to work. I just couldn't see any more than the arc at the wire. My welds looked like diarrhea. AI interestingly recommended to get a newer helmet. I didn;t want to spend a lot of money essentially $100 more for a few minor features. I CAN WELD AGAIN YaHoo Mtn Dew.

Fell apart and won’t stay tightened

Great visability, light weight, and the head band comfortable. The auto darking is quick and reliable. The included flash light is nice but of poor quality.

Not used it yet but good quality and looks like it will do the job. Don't know why it didn't come fully assembled but was easy to work out and altogether a nice helmet for the price.

Works fantastically, only gripe is how thin the lenses are. If you’re using one in a professional shop setting, be prepared to be replacing lenses almost weekly
