Terrific sink, so glad we got it
I bought this kitchen sink, a Ruvati RVM4500 model, as a replacement for my old sink that was just too limiting for larger pots & pans. This new sink is terrific. It has plenty of room for large items, even my big ol' 14" cast iron fry skillet with it's long handle. The unit was easy to install, and they furnished all the mounting hardware for the under hung mounting, and a drilling and cut out template for the installation. The sink came with basket strainers for the drains, which work great. The baskets are fitted with a little swivel handle that make it easy to retrieve it out of the drain without getting your fingers all gunky from the collected matter. The unit also comes with wire strainers for the bottom of the sink to wash things without having them sit in the dirty water at the bottom of the sink. Great for cleaning leafy vegetables freshly pulled from the garden. We are very pleased with this sink unit and would definitely recommend it to others.Update 7/24/15: The sink has held up wonderfully. I'm very pleased we went with the stainless steel material. My large cast iron pots & pans would have definitely scratched up the ceramic coated sinks. Also the sink is much quieter that the run-of-the-mill 18 or 20 gauge thick stainless sinks. Most of those thinner walled sinks sound like drums when the water stream from the faucet hit the bottom of the sink. I still would recommend this sink to others.

What a nice surprise. Not only it had the right size ...
We finally remodeled our kitchen this winter. The cabinets, appliances and majority of accessories came from the Home Depot. The sink, however (double bowl, as we wanted) would had to be a special order because of smaller than regular width of the cabinet supporting it. We tried to pick one up from the Home Depot’s catalog but they were priced ridiculously high comparing to their respective regular size examples. Then I came across this one on Amazon. At first I was a little apprehensive buying this item. The price was suspiciously low and there were very few reviews. But eventually we decided to give it a shot. What a nice surprise. Not only it had the right size and solid 16 gauge stainless steel body, but it came nicely accessorized with two basket strainers (mandatory items that you would have paid another $40 -$60 extra) and with two stainless steel rinse grids, a very nice, fancy looking, and useful feature. After several months of usage we did not encounter any problems with the sink and it still looks like new. I usually do not write reviews but with this item I really felt compelled to do so. For $240 I paid for it on Amazon, feels like a steal.

Great sink for a great price
I bought this sink to have installed with my new granite countertops. After searching on line and at the big box stores, this was a great deal. Most sinks don't come with the baskets and grates included, but this one did. And the price was affordable. The gauge is SS is nice and heavy. I LOVE the strainer baskets and stopper. Instead of the traditional basket this has a little strainer basket with a handle that is separate from the metal stopper. I'm still unsure about the grates that go in the bottom, but there isn't anything wrong with them. They just get in the way sometimes and require more water to come over the top. They definitely keep the sink bottom from getting scratched. I've had this for months now and have been using the grates, the sink still looks brand new. I love the smaller sink. Since I use my dishwasher for most things, it is great to not have to fill a full size sink up to wash a few knives and wine glasses. All in Ali would recommend this sink.

Requires constant thorough cleaning
Sink works fine (i.e. doesn't leak). I'm frustrated with the finish. It always looks dirty, even after washing dishes and using the soap and water and a brush to quickly clean the sink. It only looks nice if I use a magic eraser and/or stainless polish. As soon as I rinse a few dishes, it looks bad again. I replaced a 20 y/o stainless sink that looked better after 20 years than this one after a week. It is nice and sturdy and seems sound proofed. I can't recommend this sink since I expect a stainless steel product to be easy to maintain.

EASY TO KEEP CLEAN, Rounded insides corners and edges.
Very nice indeed, my kitchen boss is very pleased with the unit's looks and size. The included stainless bottom racks are a must to avoid scratching and are a great feature. We find the size of the second bowl perfect for washing fruits and vegetables. Would recommend this Italian made sink to anyone.

Can you fall in love with a sink?
Can a girl fall in love with a sink? Oh Yeah! I purchased the RVM4500 in May. Because of the configuration of my dishwasher, I was limited to 29" but I really wanted a double sink. The Ruvati provided the perfect solution. The sink is very well made. I was nervous about a sink that was 9" deep. I had never had a sink deeper than 7", but what a difference. The extra depth really reduces splashes on the counter and me. The basket strainers are really classy but the best included accessory was the accessory I thought I wouldn't need or want and that is the rinse grids. I thought they would only get in the way but I have come to really appreciate how they help in food prep and providing extra work space. I also love the fact that they protect my beautiful sink from scratches. The sink has really exceeded my expectations. If we move, I'm taking my sink with me!!

Ruvati needs to consult a plumber about what they provide in installing
I liked: the gauge of steel, design of sink, finish, baskets in the drains.Dislikes: they use a foam and then rubber gasket under the sink drains. The foam always becomecoff centered when tightened. Good drains have a slick disc between the rubber and plastic nut to prevent movement of the gasket material. Ruvati does not provide this. As a result I had to use extremely big slip joint pliers to tighten to prevent leaking. And yes, I used ample amounts of plumbers putty. A gasket disc that might cost them 10 cents is needed.

Quality sink!
I am very pleased with the Ruvati sink. The steel is of high quality and quite heavy. The installer asked where I got it as he had never heard of Ruvati and complimented me on the quality. As it is new, I can not comment on how it will stand up to everyday use.

excellent value
Good value as advertised. This is a great sink. We really like the extra depth of the larger basin. It is great for pots and pans.
