The standard of the saltwater fly fishing industry
Although these hooks have more competition that they did in the past, they are still a valuable addition to a salt water flyfisher's bench. They can use a little sharpening before tying a fly, but they are an economical choice compared to the leading Japanese brand hooks. Stainless steel is out of favor for other than flynfishing and these are good hooks that are strong and reliable. Since most flies are not broken off while fishing, stainless hooks do the fish little harm.

Not sharp!
Every one of the hooks needed sharpening. Luckily these are stainless steel, so there was no coating or plating to be damaged during the sharpening. But these hooks were deplorably blunt and every one needed a lot of work to even begin to catch on a thumb nail as a sharpness test.
