Cleared massive clog, but check your drain lines to the main first for other connecting pipes!
I wish I brought this sooner, and also wish I checked the plumbing setup in the crawl space before using it. Easy to use, just put on end of a hose and put into a drain. Make sure you buy the right size for your drain pipe. We had a clog in kitchen sink drain that was slow and then stopped all together. Tried plunging, small snake, chemicals. Nothing worked. Tried this and it cleared the clog finally!! But be careful and check your plumbing lines before using! This pushed the clog towards the main drain line, however there was another sink that had a drain pipe merging before the main drain. This pushed the clog past the other sink drain line, then the path of least resistance is nasty fluid coming back up the other sink drain pipe. Needed to plug that second sink while running the drain king at the main clogged sink. Now our kitchen sink drains faster than ever, but could have saved a lot of cleanup by checking the plumbing setup first. So yes, this works great, even with our crappy well water low pressure.

Life saver
I am not in the habit of leaving reviews, I buy a lot of stuff on Amazon and rarely say anything. I feel compelled to write one for this product. Every possible annoying expense has hit me in the past month, hasn't been a good year so far; rain/pour- I take a shower and shave on Wednesday, go down stairs and there is green water in my kitchen sink and dishwasher and the house smells like sewage. Not exactly sure what has happened, I check a couple of things, think about it for a while, recollect that my kitchen sink has been sluggish, and figure I'll leave it and maybe it was just some weird combination of rain (it's been raining for days) and everything else. Plus I just don't want to think about it. Come back later, it's all gone, I keep moving on. Later that day, while using the kitchen sink, it starts backing up. So I stop what I'm doing. I go upstairs, try out the bathroom sink and shower, and once again, the sink fills up. Great. Anyway, this slow drain, fill back up, slow drain continues for a day. Finally I give up hope and realize I'm going to have to do something, I try plunging to no avail, I try chemicals, no luck. I let it drain over night. Next day take the sink apart, check the p trap, it's clear. I go borrow a 25' hand snake. I feed it in, struggle with all the elbows between me and the clog, finally get there (18' approximately), fiddle with it, pull out some hair and gunk, but the end result is me pushing the clog to another elbow (I guess) where I can't get the snake to continue. Great. I tried snaking from the upstairs, no luck. Just making things worse, where as before it would drain slowly, now it doesn't drain at all, complete blockage. Also, during this mess, I broke the snake. So I get on amazon to buy a new snake for my friend and I start searching around. Not feeling real good about my chances of resolving this without a $200+ plumbing bill, then I see this beauty... Read the reviews, it was only $10, decided to try it. Awesome product. Despite being very nervous about the prospect of sewage water and chemicals firing out of every drain in my house, I put it in the kitchen sink downspout, and slowly turned it on. Ran back inside, weird noises, a little scary, but no geysers anywhere. Ran outside, cranked the hose all the way on, ran back in, still anxious about water and chemicals everywhere, still just noise, ran upstairs, sinks ok, showers ok, tub ok. Went back down, read the instructions again. Still just noise. I let it run for a while (5 minutes?) go outside, disconnect the hose at the spigot, then back in to see what's what. Pull it out of the drain. No water that I can feel in the pipe, good sign. Hook the pipes up, let the sink run for a couple of minutes and...no more clog! This thing is awesome. There is no way I was going to get at this clog with a snake and chemicals (lots of chemicals!) were not working. The instructions say not to use with chemicals, which I'm sure is for safety and probably for the good of the attachment, but I went ahead anyway and just made sure the dogs were outside and my face didn't get anywhere close to where blow-back might happen. Anyway, for any clogs in the future, after plunging, this god send will be my next option. Even if I had to buy a new one for every job, I'd do it, it's not much more expensive than chemicals but more effective. I will recommend this to anyone and everyone, if you've got a difficult clog, and you don't want to hire a plumber, your snake-ing skills are sub par, and you aren't particularly patient, the Drain King is for you! Also, major thanks to the amazon community for consistent reviewers, I should do it more often, but I never would have bought this had I not read so many positive reviews. And they were all correct. Great job Amazonians!

Perfect solution
I own a mid 1800's house. I imagine the septic tank was done in the 30's to 50's. The main pipe is old black iron. My driveway is next to the house and the main pipe goes under the driveway before it goes out about 70ft in total to the septic. The pipe clogged somewhere under the driveway which would be about 8 foot underground. I ran a snake down the pipe and it could not clear. If, as I was worried, the pipe had collapsed, it would be almost unreachable it cost. I called a local drain and pipe company who recommended the Drain King, which I had never heard of before. He said it was the first thing he would try if he was at my house on the call. His schedule was full for some time to come so I bought the Drain King 456 with high hopes. When it came in, I followed the simple directions and slid it into the main access pipe. I turned on the water and waited. I turned of the water and all the built up water came out of the main access once the Drain King relaxed. Gross, I know. However, I kept at it and let the water run for 2, minutes, then 3, then 5 and each time I got backwash when the bladder relaxed. Gross, I already said I know. However, the next time I ran the water for about 5 minutes, I noticed no backwash. Something was happened. 3 more tries with no backwash and the last time when I shut off the water and the Drain King relaxed, I heard a glugging and swoosh sound. The pipe cleared! It was just a clog and not an expensive pipe excavation in the future. If ever I hear of someone with a clogged pipe,,, I am pointing them to Drain King!

Great product, just need the piece to connect it to a hose
Did a fabulous job unblocking whatever was blocking a skimmer in my pool. Works just as described. But it was a real challenge to connect it to our hose, as the needed piece didn't come with it. I eventually figured out how to borrow the needed piece from our spray pistol. I'd give it 5 stars if it either came with that piece or at least tell us what it's called in the instructions so I could have ordered it on Amazon. Anyway, after considerable frustration, it did an impressive job once I figured it all out. I think I will be using it a lot but I will face the same challenge when connecting it to the bathroom or kitchen faucets.

Lifesaver!
My pool pipe developed a clog and nothing I did worked until I used the Drain King 501. Within 10 minutes the clog was gone and I was able to start up my pool. Truly a lifesaver!

Did not work as expected
Based on reviews, I decided to go ahead with purchase. I had a very slow draining shower. I have long hair. I followed directions and achieved a slightly faster flow, but the drain soon backed up. I tried a few times letting the water flow for up to 10 minutes. Anyway, had to snake the drain, pulled out a very large hair ball. So gross, which is why I was really hoping the drain king would work. Had really high hopes this would work, but it did not, at least for my home. I will say, it was easy to use.

Simple and easy
Okay. I have not written an Amazon review in probably 10 years. But in this I feel I’m overdue. I had a bathroom sink clog that I could not fix. I took pipes apart, found some gunk, put everything back together and still hopelessly clogged so bad that sink wouldn’t drain. So, I had 2 choices: call a plumber or figure out another way to clean out the clog. Low and behold a simple Amazon search led me to this product. I tied a rope to my garden hose and pulled it up and in through the bathroom window. I hooked up this little bad boy and turned the water on. I was expecting it to not work and blast water everywhere. But it worked like a charm. See picture. I stuck it in the sink. I turned up the pressure slowly and let the water run for about 10 minutes. It created a perfect seal in the drain. Turned of water, removed and the clog is totally gone and sink is draining like it is brand new. A plumber would cost me who knows what. This thing works great.

Works Great!
BUY THIS! My kitchen sink drain has been slow for the past few months, and the last few weeks has been REALLY bad. I took all of my plumbing apart and it was all clear. I snaked the drain (25ft) without any luck. I rigged my air compressor to blow compressed air into the pipe which also did nothing. I was just about to call a plumber when I came upon Drain King. I read about it for 30 or so minutes and decided it was worth the $12 to give it a try. I COULD NOT WAIT FOR IT TO GET HERE. When it finally arrived I got right to it. unhooked my plumbing to my wall drain, ran a hose inside, screwed on the drain king, and turned it on. All I could hear was water, then it went kind of silent... I went outside and checked to see if water was coming through my main drain... just a trickle. As I walked back inside, I heard a rush of water and thought, "That's it!" I went to check my main drain and water was flowing freely, it was fixed! So easy, so cheap, and worked perfectly! I'm keeping it in a safe location for the next time I have a clog. BUY IT, IT WORKS
