As soon as I saw this item I was keen to try it. I have quite straight hair and limited patience for styling it, so I could see immediately how this could be really effective as a styling tool and pretty straightforward to use. I was a bit disappointed with how they actually worked though, because the waves it created were not as dramatic as I’d hoped. I found it pretty fiddly to use, but that may be more to do with my own lack of coordination and ineptitude when it comes to styling hair. It gets very hot very quick, which is useful for styling but felt a bit risky near my roots. It also meant I burnt myself twice in the course of styling my not-quite-shoulder-length hair, once on the forehead and once on my arm so in neither case would the protective glove included help. It was especially tricky when trying to style hair at the back since it relies on your hair being claimed in an open-and close mechanism that is difficult to see. I also found the surface was so smooth that my hair had a tendency to slip though it, which again may be part of the reason I didn’t quite get the curls I was hoping for.That being said, it did give a nice wavy effect that looked good when it was finished and has lasted pretty well even without styling products for hold. It’s a much better look than the crimpers of my youth that did those tight little waves you saw on MTV in the 80s and added a lot of body to my hair but still looked fairly natural. Hopefully with more practice I will get better at using it.

My partner has been using hair straighteners for years and decided she wanted to try something different.Originally, she went with curlers, but found them difficult to use, time consuming and that they didn't work well with her medium length hair. These crimpers have offered her a new style that's much quicker and easier.Using them is simple. You section off your hair, open the crimper up, place the hair you want to style into the barrel section, and then close the door back up. You keep your hair inside for as long as you like - depending on the strength of hold you are looking for.Once you open the door back up and remove your hair, it will be shaped.The crimper itself is of good quality and a nice rose gold to metallic pink colour.However, it doesn't come with any worthwhile instructions. My partner says the way she uses it is to turn it on for about a minute to let it heat up and then begins using it as described above. This took a bit of trial and error, but she has found it the best way to use it.Instructions explaining how long it takes to get to temperature, how to place hair into the device, and how long for would have been useful.The crimper isn't too heavy, but it is awkwardly shaped and so takes a while to get used to. Once you do get use to how to use it, however, it becomes second nature and no harder really than straighteners. The device is generally pretty safe to use, although it is possible to burn your ears or fingers if you are not careful (as my partner has proven!).Overall, this is a really good device. The lack of instructions is a shame, but the actual product is excellent.

Rubbish, don’t heat up at all.

The media could not be loaded.  I looked at these before, because I love the mermaid wavy look, one popped up for me to review so thought I’d give one a try and it didn't disappoint.Because it’s a large styler, it looks quite heavy but it’s not at all, has quick heat up time, I would recommend wearing the heat glove to protect your hand from burning yourself while styling, it does get very hot! Creates such lovely even waves, the 3 prong barrels are a good size so can take bigger sections, this has a fold out stand so it doesn't damage the surface you’re placing it on.Comes with many accessories….. a comb, 2 hair sectioning clips, pack of hair bands, 2 xsatin scrunchies in pale gold and a rose gold, a heat glove and a travel pouch!Very good price of £19.99Hope you find the demonstration helpful 👍🏼

I wouldn’t recommend this product although cheap, it burnt my dressing table - you will need a heat resistant mat (not supplied)

This product fell apart after 3 times of use and blew all the electrics in the house.

This is a great tool to bulk curl your hair quickly. It comes with everything you will need to make your hair look like a princess (or a prince).
