SEAOURA LED Aquarium Light for Plants & Fish Tank with Timer, 48-54 Inch

I am extremely happy with this Seaoura LED light for my terrarium setup. The brightness and full-spectrum lighting make a huge difference in both the appearance of the enclosure and the health of my plants. The colors are vibrant, natural-looking, and really bring everything inside the terrarium to life. One of my favorite features is the adjustable brightness and timer settings. It makes it very easy to create a natural day and night cycle without constantly having to turn the light on and off manually. The gradual lighting transitions are a nice touch and make the environment feel much more natural. The build quality feels solid and durable, and installation was simple and straightforward. I also appreciate how evenly the light spreads across the tank instead of creating harsh bright spots. It provides excellent coverage and works beautifully for mosses, tropical plants, and overall terrarium growth. Another thing that impressed me is how customizable the settings are. Whether you want brighter daylight tones or softer nighttime lighting, this light gives plenty of options without being overly complicated once you get familiar with the controls. For the price, the quality and performance are honestly excellent. It looks much more premium than expected and performs just as well as some higher-priced brands. Overall, this has been a fantastic addition to my terrarium, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, bright, and customizable LED light for planted tanks or terrariums.

I don't frequently purchase things on Amazon, so I obviously don't review things often either. After almost 2 years of daily use, this light has been absolutely perfect for my 75 gallon. There is multiple lighting settings (you can adjust how white/blue you want it) and a timer setting that I have never used. This light has helped keep my plants alive, despite my cichlid frequency eating and pulling at them! I was genuinely surprised with how good this light is despite the low price. I am the type of person to shop for my fish tank equipment in store, but I am so grateful to have given this light a chance especially because light options for a 75 gallon tank are usually over $100+. During water changes, I sometimes slightly get the light wet but it has not changed its performance at all. The light still works perfectly, and I've never had not even one bulb go out. This light has helped keep my fish comfortable (he gets spooked when we come in the room when the lights off!) and has made my tank look great. Whenever I start to get algae, I keep the light off for a few days or lower the setting and it goes away quickly. Lots of thanks from me and my fish Frankenstein (pictured).

So far, 5 stars. I cannot speak to how long it will work or whether it will grow my plants well enough but so far, this looks like exactly what I needed. There are many many different modes. You can change the type of light, whether it's blue light, full spectrum, some different mixes and different levels of brightness. It is a bit confusing trying to figure out which mode you need or how many clicks but I'm sure I can figure it out. It's a click style so you will be clicking a lot. I need to further read the manual because I would like to set it on a timer but when I press timer the only mode is the dimmest setting. The size is perfect for what I needed. I am using this on a geckos enclosure and I measured the tank 17.5 but I wanted to be able to have it across the tank as well so I got this size I love that you can adjust it and it's very easy to do so. It seems very sturdy and well made. This plug is a two prong with no ground. Bulky block though. It's also very sleek looking compared to the bulky expensive led plant light I got from Lowe's as a temp solution.

Overall, this aquarium light seems fine and is pretty bright. The full-spectrum lighting looks good over my aquarium. One thing I find difficult is setting it up on a schedule for daylight and nighttime. The scheduling features are a little confusing and took some effort to figure out. I also have to periodically wipe off the plastic covering over the lights because it gets dirty. Another concern is that it looks like some rust may be starting to appear on the adjustable extension pieces on the sides. Overall, the light works and is bright, but the scheduling could be easier to use, and I am concerned about the possible rust on the side extension pieces.

Like others have said, idk how to figure out the settings so I just left it once I got it turned on, and I unplugged it each night and it goes back to that setting when I plug it back in. 🤷‍♀️Well worth it for Blueberry the betta! Others say it doesn’t sit well on the edges of their tank so I used packing tape to secure it and taped it once I found how wide I wanted it. No slipping or risk of it falling into tank!

Could fit alot of different size tanks. Super bright and love the timer function. Definitely recommend

Update: I struggled to use the timer. I would set the light to the brightness and color that I needed, and then I would click the timer button. It would turn the light OFF! Now I feel dumb. Pressing the timer button essentially is also starting the whole cycle. I was dong step number one correctly: make the color and intensity as i wanted it. Then, I clicked the timer three times to bring me to the 12-hour duration. But every click turned my light off, so I thought it was defective. No (you dummy- me). Yes, it goes black because it is starting the cycle and will slowly climb or ramp up to the color and intensity that I just previous had. Theoretically. Then, it will run its course and shut off automatically. Theoretically. I have not actually tried this. I got frustrated and revisited the many videos. Now, I suspect that if I turn my light on, when I wake up, and click the timer button 3 times, it'll be dark, but I can shower, brush my teeth and get dressed for work and by that time (manual says 15 minutes; but it does not explain the process of setting the timer; it only says press this button and that it is user friendly; yeah right!), the light should have reached the designated levels -- I am hoping! If it remains black, I have a dud. I'll be trying this process tomorrow morning and will update again. My schedule fluctuates; so, I thought I shouldn't use the timer because I wanted to see my tank in the sporadic moments that I was home, I realize that my plants need a routine schedule...if I want them to grow well. My schedule doesn't matter anymore. I'll never grow more that 5'4" lol. I figure that i can always just turn it back on to feed my fish and enjoy the aquarium for an hour, then turn the light off, and I think that the timer should not be affected -- that it should start back up the next morning. Tomorrow night, I will do just that: come home at night, turn the light on and off. I'll see, the morning after, if the timer is still set. OR maybe you set the time and are never allowed to touch another button or else you'll have to reset everyday. IDK, but I will tell you what happens. ******************** I live in Hawaii and it's a risk for us to have anything "delicate" shipped to us, but this arrived fine. I have not used the timer function, yet. But the control that you have over the brightness and colors, especially the actinic blue lights. is amazing. The control panel also allows for easy on and off. It appears to be made of quality materials and of quality construction, so I am happy. This is perfect for my low-light planted aquarium with Pseudomugil signifers, Cardinal Tetras, Black Phantom Tetras, Anubias plants and ferns. It is just perfect.

This light comes with everything you need to get started. It does slightly bend in the middle since it’s a long bar, but it hasn’t caused any issues for me. I run a 55-gallon tank (23-inch depth) with tons of plants, and this light does a great job reaching the bottom while promoting plant growth. The dedicated blue light feature is awesome — it lets you see all your fish and plants clearly without disturbing the light cycle. Easy to use, and the timer/auto on-off feature is convenient for consistent lighting. I would definitely recommend this to anyone new or semi-new to planted tanks. It’s reliable, effective, and great for encouraging healthy plant growth.

So many different setting and the timer is awesome. My fish tank plants love it as well, my leaves have been growing larger.

Great light colour spectrum is fantastic I've have had 2 of these and the first one lasted about a year so for the price and quality I definitely recommend for the right sized tank it's easy to fix if you have somewhere to locate the legs.

I absolutely love this light. I bought it for my 5 gallon fish tank. I purchased the 12-18 inch light. I like that the length is expandable and retractable so that it can fit how I want it to across my tank. I love the timer settings that I can set for three, six or twelve hour intervals and they will be continuous until I choose to change it. I like that I can change the brightness of the light. There are a variety of options for the light's intensity ranging from super bright to a subtle soft light. I feel like it's going to be really good for my plants. I've already noticed a substantial improvement in my betta fish. He seems a lot happier. I like that it gradually turns on in the morning and it gradually turns off at night so that it's not such a shock to the fish. The item arrived well packaged in a solid box. No damage and not previously used. It came with clear and easy to understand instructions. It has only been a couple of days but I'm really happy with my purchase and I know our betta, Blaze, would say likewise.
