Used Submerged, Still died in ~5 months...
This pump was used submerged in a 15 gal. tank to 'mix' water & a light descaler...While the 'shaft' may be coated, the thing swelled from the back side (where wires come out) - likely due to internal over-heating. Several times when I touched it while in the tank the unit was hot, despite the water temp being cool (think ~25C) and the pump appearing to work.

Good small pump
I was looking for a small water pump to spray water over sprouting beans. This pump is very small, quiet and works well.

very good pump. not as the best quality material as some koolance water cooling pumps but i have to say, does the job very good. can be used as dry pump for dry applications externally installed or submersible if needed. I am using this pump for a 5vdc water cooling system together with a clear reservoir for coolant pc. So far, it is rated at 12vdc but i am running this pump at 6vdc and is working in very low flow rate as i wanted for this project. Has enough flow rate if apply 12.2vdc but is not what i want for this project. In a water cooling system you want to have slow flor rate so the coolant gets into the radiator very slow and a fan cools the radiator and so the coolant and goes out fresh cool to restart the process again. it is a loop processes and this pump works great for this project.

It runs at 9V fine but the flow rate is lower
This is a really tiny motor. I used it for transferring wort for beer brewing. The plus it is doesn't use a lot of power I ran it off two 9V batteries in parallel of about 1 hour per brew day. It did work, but I rearranged my system to allow for gravity transfer after 4 months of use. The unit still worked when i gave it to a friend to use in one of his own projects. He said it died after about 4 uses in his sous vide machine. So lasted less than 50 hours of operation. I think 12V is a bit much for this little motor. It runs at 9V fine but the flow rate is lower. You also have to be careful not to let it run dry, wont even last 10 seconds with no flow. The little page of instructions said don't even try to test it dry.

Pumps fine but, has issues
Pump is being used to pump water. It lifts water about 16". Pumps well. Leaks from within the pump. Will not maintain prime.

Lasted four days
I bought this for my sous vide setup. After a total of about 96 hours of intermittent use it quit working. Took it apart and cleaned the insides - no luck. Tried several power supplies. The sealed electronics are still intact and dry, it just stopped working.

Total Failure
This died after 15 minutes pumping 60°C water.

Fantastic Volume
This little pump is quiet and pumps really well, great volume, works best when it is submerged in liquid. I would buy this pump again over many others that I tried.
