Good price for an amber jar
Amber canning jars are extremely hard to find at local stores and even online there are not as many options as for the clear glass. I always prefer vacuum sealing my freeze-dried products in amber, which protects them from light in addition to air. I was glad to find these in the very large size and am very satisfied with the quality and the price, not substantially more than the same jar in clear glass.

Good jars!
Great mason jars, for good value. Plenty of room for all your canning/jarring needs! Glass seems to be sturdy and has so far held up to any cracks. Seals fine, but I did buy different bands, as the ones that came with the jars seemed kind of "light"So far they've held up in the dishwasher without chipping or cracking.
