Great leg support
This brace has been support for my shepherd female who is 12 years old. She slipped and fell on her rear leg. Unable to stand on her own. In the durum of waiting for a vet appointment, I used a thin knee brace with Velcro to use until my brace arrived with 24 hours. She was able to walk, but with pain. The vet said that she had a torn meniscus. She is too old with bad hips for surgery. He put the option out there of casting her leg, but it would take 5 team members to hold her in an upright position. He didn't really push it on me, due to her age. He increased her pain meds. I do a lot of research and it's possible she can mend with the help of this brace, plus I ordered another. If this can help with a torn meniscus, think what it can do for a dog with hip problems, sprains, etc. I was pleasantly surprised that it was good quality, good support and that's what was needed for my faithful companion.

Amazing
I had so much doubt in this product with all the mixed reviews, but my dog suffered from a sprain in her back leg from chasing a squirrel, she wouldn't put ANY pressure on her leg and just layed for days. We had to pick her up and take her outside where she wouldn't even get up to go to the bathroom. It was rough so we decided to try these. We bought 2 of them one for each back leg and she was like a new dog! Walking by herself going to bathroom, she's still limping a little bit she can now get around! My only complaint is the Velcro, the Velcro goes all the way around so when u strap it there's a lot of Velcro showing causing everything to stick to it and causing it to be harder for her to get up when she is stuck to blankets! I feel like when you measure it should be a lot more towards the size where there wouldn't be so much Velcro showing

Pupper Approved - Money Well Spent
Our 8 month old golden retriever is super active and loves running. One morning we noticed a slight limp and realized he was favoring a back leg and trying to keep weight off his foot. After cleaning paw pads, applying paw lotion, and rubbing up and down his leg looking for any sign of injury, I took him into the vet. Tucker limped away with a diagnosis of a CCL injury and strict instructions to give him no exercise, potty only on a leash, medicate, ice and heat the area, and to generally take it easy for two weeks. Knowing we have a 65 pound, active puppy, I decided to research braces. After researching for hours, I realized this brace had the most promising reviews and was also quite reasonable in cost.I felt a bit silly bracing my puppy's leg - not to mention, he can't exactly tell us if it's helping. Long story short, Tucker has taken to liking this brace to much he'll bring it over to us and gently wait while we Velcro it on with a big smile on his face! This leads me to believe it really is helping him and he knows it too. After a week of rest, medicine, ice/heat and wearing this brace for a couple of hours here or there when activity may be necessary, Tucker is no longer limping. I'm so thankful for this tool and know it played a role in getting him back up quickly!Sizing note: he has thick, athletic legs and I was worried about sizing and whether this would fit. I purchased the XL and it has plenty of room and is a bit large in some areas, but because of the design it is no issue at all and the Velcro holds the brace tight to his leg. If in doubt, I would recommend sizing up - we did with no problems in functionality.Hair in Velcro: Being a golden, we're used to a lot of hair everywhere, but the Velcro does collect hair. Not a problem here and causes no issues in use or discomfort - just looks a bit like it may grow legs and walk off.

Helped my 10 lbs poodle get better.
I have a 10 lbs poodle mix who apparently thinks she can fly (she'd climb as high as she could and then just throw herself down) or maybe she's just too dumb. We try to be careful but sometimes we leave her outside unsupervised so that she can enjoy the sun and the fresh air and one day when I went to open the door to let her back in she was limping; I immediately checked her back leg to see if she had a thorn or something and there was nothing, when I moved her leg around she didn't complain and everything seemed fine, she just wouldn't put her foot on the ground. We let her be for a couple of days and she would still walk and run without using her back leg so I started reading about what could be causing this (because of the pandemic non emergency vet appointments were taking a long time) and saw some posts online about how a leg brace could help. There are many options but I decided to try this one because it seemed it could fit her best (she has very short/thin legs) and it is reasonably priced. When we got it I put it on and she didn't complain or anything (trying to bite it or remove it) and even though she was still lifting the foot when walking she could now put more pressure on the leg. After a couple of days of use she finally started walking using the leg and would only lift it when she ran but she was able to stand on both back legs again without a problem and push herself on the floor. After using the brace for a couple of weeks her issue went away and now she's back to normal but it seems the experience helped her to be more careful and now she doesn't jump from high places as carelessly as before.

doing it's job
Our dog has a troublesome wart on his inner back paw hock and can't get in for surgery for a few months. He keeps licking and bumping it to the point where it bleeds. In the meantime we have been trying a variety of different things (which haven't worked) to cover it so he doesn't have to wear the cone 24/7. So far this brace seems to be doing the job, with vet wrap under it. It has not slipped and my dog acts like it isn't even on. The only issue was we had to size up. He is tall and lean, he measured as a M but we had to size up to XL for the proper fit. Despite that, it seems to be working very well and has some nice padding on the inside.

WAY TOO MUCH VELCRO!!! Brace sticks to rugs, blankets, etc and pulls it off.
There is entirely too much velcro on this brace. The velcro is the entire way around. The excess not covered by the tab collects lint, fuzz, etc. It also sticks to rugs, blankets, etc and pulls it right off!
