Dual USB Motorcycle Charger for Honda CRF300L CRF250L

Using on a 2017 CRF250L. Plugs directly into accessory plug behind headlight cowling. Works great!

Although this was the least expensive of the bunch that were listed on Amazon, it ended up being pretty decent. This one is an automotive accessory socket (cigarette lighter socket) with a USB charging adapter plugged into it. While some reviews complained about this, I actually find it to be a benefit. The included USB adapter is very low profile and fits under the weather protective rubber cap. And by being a standard automotive accessory socket, I can always change out the USB adapter to something bigger, better, or different should I ever want to, and it gives me the option to use the accessory socket for other things such as an air pump for that air mattress when off-road camping! The included USB adapter puts out plenty of power to keep my cell phone charged while using it for navigation. The only "issue" I ran into was plugging the connector into the OEM wiring harness of the bike. Upon inspection of the male pins inside of the connector, I found them to be just slightly bent or misaligned. The pins are small and soft enough that I was able to very easily straighten them with needle nose pliers. After that, the connector mated perfectly. I installed this on a 2021 Honda CRF300L. I'd definitely buy this one again.

Hooked right into the accessory port on my Honda CRF 300 Rally.

Purchased this USB adapter for my Honda XR150L (2024). The price is great compared to the Honda OEM USB adapter($99) but still works with the provided Honda accessory port that you can find behind the headlight. Using that port allows, you to control the USB port with the ignition key. I paired mine with a Tusk accessory dash plate, which required a bit of gorilla tape to fit that accessory snuggly but allows the USB port to mount in a convenient out of way location. The fact that the USB adapter can be removed, allows you to use the 12 V port for other accessories. Super easy installation and so far has held up good in initial rides.

The connector fit perfectly on my 2023 CRF 300 LS (the lowered version of the L). I suspect the one reviewer that says it did not fit the 2023 CRF 300 L did not remove the dummy plug on the factory connector first! Only the dummy plug has any 'round' holes as mentioned in that review. The cord is nicely wrapped in an expandable mesh covering, however, the cover is secured on both ends with only a tiny wrap of electrical tape, that would have failed very quickly here in the AZ heat. So I carefully extracted the pins from the connector so I could use proper sized, double wall, adhesive lined heat shrink tubing instead. It looks better and should last much longer now. I too missed the reviews that mention it is a standard cigarette type receptacle with a dual USB adapter, but that is actually a bonus to me. I can now use either type plug and upgrade the USB later if needed. I was going to buy just the pigtail for the factory connector and a separate USB port, but this was a much better deal.

Installed easy thanks to the specific plug and play . But the mount bracket left a lot to be desired. The plug end itself is a normal 12v cigarette style charger so you can swap it out for anything else that fits that type which is nice not being locked into a type c and type a usb only. The mounting bracket is a thin piece of sheet steel with a rubber pad around it. It doesn't really fit tightly so the charger can move and slide . I ended up straightening the whole clamp out and bending it around myself to fit where I needed it. And I had to drill the holes bigger to fit the bolt where I wanted to mount it at. All in all its solid as the charger and adapter works and charging my phone. The waterproof cover works nicely but also can fall off if your not paying attention. It's not secured to the charger it's just ontop of it.

Inexpensive. The rubber cap seems a little loose & sloppy. Not sure how long cap will last or how well it will seal out moisture. But it was cheap, easy to install, plugged right into the Honda accessory plug, and seems to be working good. Just installed it today so I can’t comment on durability. Time will tell.
