This author truly knows how to write heartbreakingly beautiful stories. This is book number three in the amazing Balsam Ridge series. Which brings us Maxi and Corbin's story. I’m sure it wouldn’t be a problem for you to start the series with this book but I would definitely recommend that you so read in order and from book one to be completely familiar with Corbin's character and his backstory. It is very helpful to read them to get the little bits of information in previous books. Maxi is in town to sell her family’s property. Corbin is once again broken up with Susanna and is trying to move on but doesn’t know how to do it without going back to Susanna. They come up with a plan to be in a fake relationship so it gets back to Susanna. How can it go wrong right? Well only after a few weeks of a fake relationship, both Corbin & Maxi start falling and hard. Will these two give in to these feelings or will Maxi's fear of love send it all up in flames? Well you have to read it to find out. Trust me you will love it. Highly recommend you read this book and the others in the series you will just love these Tuttle men.

This story may seem sweet and small town but goodness is it spicy, and in the very best ways. Corbin is the fire chief in Balsam Ridge Valley and one of the very best guys. Handsome, kind but also stuck in a rut with long time on and off girlfriend Susanna. When she runs away, yet again, Corbin has finally snapped. No more of the back and forth.Enter Maxi, the newest bartender at the brewery with a troubled past. She’s feisty, smart, sexy and tells you exactly what you need to hear! She’s the epitome of bartender therapist. She suggests to Corbin that they start fake dating to break him of his “toxic cycle”.Friendship and attraction never stay separate for long. What happens when nothing ever felt fake? When tragedy strikes, will there be rain after the fire?Such a good read!!! Maxi is the most badass and down to earth character and I fell in love with her instantly. Corbin and Maxi’s chemistry was off the charts! 5/5 stars 4/5 spice.

I'm not big on fake relationship books but this one was a bit different. The character development, main characters, and small town family all add up to an all around good love story. The fake relationship was a bit different but Maxie made it so funny. She was all business and held fast to her role. She was a bit off putting at first but I warned up to her. Corbin was great, strong, hard worker, and great guy. Glad they found their way. It was a very quick romance and I'm shocked how much they built on their days off, seemed a bit far fetched but still worked. Also where does all the money come from for the projects and a new van in the end? But I guess it's just a story. It all worked and had good storyline.

Fake relationship romances tend to follow the same road map: fake becomes real. As a reader, I look for the author's originality and creativity, eager to see how their story will stand out. With Amber Kelly's third Balsam Ridge novel, it was all about the main characters, Maxi and Corbin. While Corbin was, at his very core, someone with simple wants, needs, and hopes, Maxi was quite a complex woman who had grown up in an immediate family that left her with emotional scars. I loved getting to know these two, and seeing their fake relationship become this story that saw lust grow into love, a good man find forever with a good woman, and a wanderer find home and family in a small but mighty mountain town in Tennessee. Rain After Fire snags four stars out of five stars.

Omg I’ve never been so happy to finally see a good man kick a woman to the curb…..These Tuttle men are in a class all their own and deserve the best. Maxi is just what Corbin needs in his life . And he’s just what she deserves. This book is epic but unless you read the first two books you won’t grasp just how toxic the original relationship was between Corbin and Sabrina . Corbin is AN AMAZING MAN and he deserves the best.

Rain after fire is just a really well written book. Great character development, a believable story, good timing and pace. Lots of visual detail that let's you see the scene in your mind. Maxi and Corbin are perfect together from the get go and I truly enjoyed the read.

I couldn’t help but fall in love with this story and was unable to put it down. Corbin is the towns hot fire chief(it’s really unfair they don’t look like that where I’m from) that’s fresh out off a bad relationship and not looking for love but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t find him anyways. I instantly fell in love with Maxi, she’s a straight shooter who doesn’t do BS. The chemistry between these two was flying off the pages and I swear my kindle was gonna burn me.

An amazing story about a woman who has moved to Balsam Ridge due to inheriting a piece of land. She gas made friends with some of the people and soon realize that everyone is like family. She meets Corbin Tuttle and offers to help him for a bit, and realizes things get complicated more as time goes. Beautiful story, romantic, fun, and yet lots of feelings. Loved it.❤
