A wonderful, lyrical story with a positive message
I loved this book!! The lyrical poem story is lovely with sweet message about 'helping' find a home. The illustrations are phenomenal!!Beautifully written and portrayed book, great for a gift for children (or a whimsical adult).

Loved it!
Well written, cute poetry, and fun,well-done illustrations. I'm not a child and I loved it. Hope Ms. Hollingsworth will do other animal books.

Whimsical rhyme, child's point of view
This is a charming story, told from a child's basic perspective and point of view. The illustrations are stylized and whimsical, and yet they really capture the feeling and the atmosphere, especially the sea grass, waving in the ocean breeze.Having lived on the NC coast, I'll admit the story line had me worried. I thought the author was going to find Herman a home in a bowl inside her own home. This happens to hermit crabs daily, but they need to be left at the beach, foraging at the tide line, just as Herman was left, intact and happy. Here's a simple, rhyming story where a child connects with a creature and recognizes that the creature needs to go its own way.

Highly recommended
What a magnificent book! Ms. Hollingsworth's story is just great and the illustrations by Ms. Tipton Cappoen are beautiful.
