Not as great as other Stride Rite shoes we have
We own three pairs of Stride Rite shoes that our daughter currently wears. (She only wears SR at this time.) Two pairs are great (Cameron and Jamie). This one isn't.She has a tiny, skinny foot. 15 months old, and been in the size 4 Cameron for a few months (started walking just before 10 months of age). We bought the Jamie in a size 4.5, and then this shoe in a 4.5.This shoe does not open very wide to get a toddler foot inside. The shoe is also very tight across the top, and leaves marks on her foot. The least desirable part is how inflexible the sole is. When she walks, you can tell that the shoe is not bending. Her feet clunk across the room. They're really cute shoes, stylish, and we've worn them in pictures twice. But I've been disappointed at how uncomfortable they seem, especially compared to the others we have bought.

Treat with ScotchGuard or something similar
I love the style and overall quality of this toddler shoe! I compared literally hundreds of sneakers for my 2.5 year old daughter. I ended up choosing this shoe for a few reasons: they are easy to put on and take off (my daughter likes to attempt to put her own shoes on); they are designed for a toddler gait, ensuring extra stability; the neutral color and pattern matches almost every outfit.I only have two issues. I would recommend treating the shoe with a fabric waterproofing agent, as the shoe is cloth with a leather toe. Also, my daughter seems to take the insoles out of these shoes every single time she wears them. We have never had this issue with any other shoe. Overall I would recommend these shoes to family and friends. I will consider purchasing again in the next size up.

cute shoes, seems comfortable. A little hard to get on.
I really like this shoe but it is a little harder to get on than previous StrideRite shoes we've had. Not impossible by any stretch but the tongue is small so you have to really get in there to pull it up sometimes. They go well with lots of clothes and seem to be comfortable from the start of wear. One note, in the picture I didn't think the gray part was sparkly but it is. The shoe has sparkle all over. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew that, but in person they are cute.

Wide isn't wide enough
I love stride rite shoes and they have mostly been good to my family. I wanted to love these but couldn't. My daughter has wide feet and these were too narrow for her. She got a few wears out of them before I finally retired the pair for good. It was a struggle to put them on. I tried with both thin and thick socks to no avail. These sneakers is better suited for children who have narrow feet.

Really wanted to LOVE these and I just love them
I love the print and the quality of these shoes. My only real complaint is that they are pretty stiff. I have a pair of hand me down leather Stride Rite shoes my son has worn for the past few months and I LOVE them! I wanted to try something a bit different for the fall season and these camo/army green were perfect! I they are just a bit harder to get on than I would like, its hard enough to wrestle a toddler to get shoes on so anything that makes it harder knocks it down a couple notches for me. The price is the other, they are canvas and toddler shoes he will out grow by mid winter I am sure. The up side is they will hold up to whatever he throws at them, they aren't showing any wear so far.
