What is the string in the package for?

That is for guitars that don't have the top knob to hook the end onto. My son's acoustic guitar only had one knob (at the bottom of the guitar) so we tied the string to the strap and tied the strap above the first fret, under the strings.

Will this strap fit acoustic guitar strap button with jack? These are a bit larger than a standard strap button.

Don't fit acoustic guitar strap button with jack. Too big to install.

Does the strap connect to the studs well? It seems like it would slip easily...

It locks in place very well for my Epiphone. I've never had it slip once.

Is the lock clip plastic or metal? I'm a little concerned about it breaking.

The lock clip is plastic, but the quality is good.
