They have lasted me through every winter season since then and remained warm and still have a pretty good, if looser, fit. I still wear the old pair with a pair of thick wool socks, but decided to purchase a new pair to wear for the next 20 years. You can see side by side pictures of the broken in ones next to the new ones for comparison. Yes the old ones are dirty, but I probably cleaned them twice in 20+ years. The new ones fit pretty sung for the first few days of wearing them, so be aware of that. I wear a 10.5 shoe and got size 11 in these and they fit great after a couple weeks of wearing them. The old saying goes "you get what you pay for" and I agree with that for 20 plus years with my first pair. Comfortable, warm in winter, cool in summer and last for a few years. I have, over the last 15 years enjoyed a pair, they last really well, usually 3 or 4 years before I replace them. The sheepswool lining lasts really well keep your feet warm in winter and comfy in summer. I used to change out slippers for summer (in many cases tossed them) but found them so comfortable just don't change them anymore. These were a gift for a family member now living in Montana! Those winters are a sure test for comfort and warmth and were more than welcome by the recipient!
