The Beech Lane 12V Refrigerator Evaporator Fin Fan has been a game-changer for our RV refrigerator. Prior to installation, we frequently dealt with uneven cooling and ice buildup on the evaporator fins. Since adding this fan, the airflow has been significantly improved, preventing ice accumulation and ensuring even cooling throughout the fridge.Installation was straightforward, thanks to the included alligator clips that attach directly to the evaporator fins. I installed this onto my Dometic 120VAC/Propane fridge and it def helps in pulling the cold from the cold plate as well as circulating it around the fridge. For power, I connected it to a condenser fan controller which adjust the fan speed for both inside the fridge as well as my condenser fan, which means this fan can run on a varying 12V source to change fan speeds. All in all, it’s a nice little unit that should make my fridge more efficient!!

Great item, easy to install once I figured where to hook up to 12v.Works well to help cool 3way fridge.A friend has same one we installed in his, with great results.One of the fans started squealing a bit and running slow, contacted Beech Lane, and they sent out a replacement quickly. Very good customer service. I have also used the small battery cube fans before i installed this wired one, they work well also

After installing the Beech Lane exterior fan kit, our fridge fins finally started getting really cold. Frosty even. In order to move some of that cold air and help to keep the fins defrosted, we installed this kit. Installation of the fans themselves was fairly easy, they just attach to the fins via alligator clips in the fan housing. The clips hold firm and the fans haven't budged in any of our travels. Running the power wire was a little bit of a bear. The recommended power source for these is listed as the power for the interior fridge light, however, the Norcold N811's light only comes on when the door is closed and when left open, the light will turn off after a few minutes. We didn't want to drill or cut into the fridge's structure so ran the power lead through the drain port below the cooling fins. We ended up successfully getting the wire through by tying it to a fishing line that we fed from the outside and then gently pulling the wire through the hose. The fans do seem to circulate air but you'll still need to make sure there are gaps for the air to move through, otherwise 'hot spots' do still develop. The fans are noisy when the door is open and you can hear a hum coming from the fridge with it closed. It isn't distracting and I think I've just tuned it out for the most part but in the quiet moments in the camper, I can tell they are there.

Our refrigerator is running about 8° cooler. It has been very hot and humid this camping trip. Normally I would have had to defrost it a couple of times by now, I haven't had to do it, yet. The fan is small and clips on the fins. Love it!

This does what it says. It is great for keeping air circulating through the exposed fins of an RV absorption 2-way refrigerator, which will reduce or eliminate ice/frost buildup on those fins.It has directions to help hook up to either the interior/door light or a 12V source at the rear of the unit.

This fan works extremely well at keeping air circulating inside the refrigerator. In an RV, that makes a big difference for keeping temperatures even and preventing warm spots. It also has an extremely low voltage draw, which is perfect when you’re running on batteries and trying to conserve power.Another nice feature is that you can easily turn it on and off as needed. Simple, efficient, and very effective — a great upgrade for any RV fridge.

Size of unit is very slim and attachment to fins is easy. Depending on your refrigerator model, electrical hook up process takes some searching for access to power.

Amaizing product and easy to install to the fridge light. I htought the frosying issues was due to the thermostat however, the fans completely recti fied the problem. No more frost. My frozen meats are able to defrost within a couple days on the top shelvings and veggies don't get spoiled! They stay fresh for a good 2 weeks. So very pleased with this product.

As a full timer living in our RV, we struggled with poor performance of our Fridge. We started by adding fans to the ventilation stack to increase performance.Unfortunately it worked but created another issue!Frosting!! We had to defrost our fridge every 3 months or so. Adding this fan to our fridge as eliminated ice build up on the fins. Great product, noise barely perceptible when door close. My Bed is only 6 feet away and I dont’t hear a thing.
