Fantastic all-in-one cold brew kit.
Great, simple, well designed all-in-one cold brew kit. You put coffee in the filter, pour in cold filter water, and put it in the fridge for 24 hours. Easiest thing in the world. It's easy enough to clean (though the silk screen filter feels very fragile, so I just rinse it under a hot tap then leave it to drip dry on the rack rather than risk trying a sponge/dishcloth or tea towel). Obviously how good the coffee is depends on what beans you use, how fine you grind it, and whether you leave it the full 24 hours. I did my research first and my first few batches have all been excellent, better than anything I've achieved using an espresso machine with the same beans. But that's kind of irrelevant to the equipment, which is solid, so if anything goes wrong I'm going to assume human error. The amount of coffee it makes is only enough for four cups, which is a slight drawback of it being the same size and shape as a wine bottle, but, the silicone cap and bottle stopper are both air-tight, which the lids of none of the larger bottle brewers I've looked at are - so I don't mind compromising, and I've bought two of these so that I can get a couple of days worth of coffee - one brews whilst the other is being drank. All in all, I recommend this over making your own with a nut milk bag and a Kilner jar - you make smaller batches, but it's less messy, easier to clean, and fits perfectly in the door of a fridge.

Great cold brew bottle!
I used to do cold brew in this long drawn out process of grinding the coffee, putting it loose in a jug and then spend WAY TOO LONG filtering the coffee in the morning through a coffee filter into a new jug and then it'd last me a day and have to do it all over again. With this, I just in the grinds in the coffee compartment, add the water, put it back together and stick it in the fridge. Next day, give it a wash after I've drank all the cold brew and it's back in the fridge for the next morning.Very well made and put together with a clever design about how it all works.100% recommend to anyone.

Awesome coffee. So simple. Just works.
If, like me, you like the simple facts when reading a review, then this is the honest, fair review you've been looking for.Positives1. It's so so easy. Fill with coffee. Leave to steep overnight. No fuss.2. Having a plain black coffee over ice in bed before work in the morning is brilliant. Try it!3. Makes lovely, non bitter coffee very easily.Negatives1. If you like a specific milk drink it may not be for you (try it)2. Have to remember to make it the night that before, but we find that quite easy to fit into our evening washing up routine.3. Obviously can't make an espressoReally brilliant. Depends how you like your coffee but I would defend nitely recommend for a nice morning drink.

Well thought out design
This is a well thought out cold brew maker from Hario. I also own the Mizudashi cold brew maker, which is nice but you have to remember to remove the coffee filter basket before pouring. With this bottle, that is no longer an issue, as the coffee grounds are completely encased in the basket so you can pour direct from the bottle without fear of grounds getting into your cup. It's really easy to clean although cleaning the bottom of the glass is tricky. Attaching the basket to the silicone lid does feel a little unstable, however with a full 90 degree twist I've never had cause for concern that it might fall off.Basically you want about 50-60g of course ground (e.g. for cafetiere) coffee - I find darker roasts work best - with about 800ml fresh filtered water. The water should get to the top of the basket. Give it a few gentle swirls and leave in the fridge for a minimum of 8 hours (12-16 is ideal). Give the bottle a few more gentle swirls before pouring. Pour neat if you like strong coffee or water down/over ice, or with milk/milk alternative. Brilliant for the summer heat. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because (a) I wish it was a little larger, and (b) it's currently a bit expensive compared to the 1L Mizudashi brewer.

Great cold brew coffee at home!
This is now how I exclusively drink coffee! It takes about a day to make a batch of cold brew coffee in the fridge - but it takes me about 3 days to drink the full bottle, so I leave it in there the whole time and it gets stronger as the days pass. The bitterness of hot-brewed coffee isn't apparent in a cold brew, and the different flavours really come through - I tend to splurge on pricier coffees for this reason, and the results can be really amazing. This is the 2nd cold-brew bottle I bought - the other one was larger and had a spout at the top which broke in the fridge when it banged up against another bottle, whereas the silicon top on this one keeps the top of the bottle nice and safe. This model can be a little fiddly - getting the filter attached to the top and inserted properly and securely can take a little doing - but it's an extremely effective mechanism and the results justify the means. If you love cold brew coffee but hate paying the really high prices for it in the shops, get one of these. You won't regret it!

Perfect summer brew
Can’t go wrong with that one, it’s been my go-to brewer since the temp hit the mid 20s Celsius,

Makes a good cup
I got tired of paying for, and having to online shop for, Nespresso pods every month. I had tried making my own cold brew coffee at home several years ago but it didn't work out, both because of the apparatus I chose and my rather limited palate for coffee at the time. I thought a combination of this simpler brewer and a broader appreciation for coffee would help me find more success this time. It has! This thing is good looking with a small profile. I like how you can control the strength of the coffee by allowing it to steep for longer, unlike my previous apparatus that was a "press the button and you get what you get" kind of thing. The thing I LOVE about this is the filter! It is incredibly fine, more like a membrane that a filter, so I had absolutely no residual coffee grind escape. I was able to use fine ground coffee (usually a no-no for cold coffee brewers) with literally 0 hassle. It makes as good a cup of coffee as you like, depending on what sort of beans you put in there .

Bottle is very handy. Holds about 2.5 cups of coffee
I just got this bottle and I really love it. I am also thinking it can make iced teas well. I will be testing it out later. I am not sure yet about durability. I will update later.

Easy to use. Reliable cold brew
The media could not be loaded. I have been using this device for 2 years now. It is still working perfectly. The Hario cold brew uses a very fine reusable filter. Because it is so fine, the glass needs to be gently shaken to get all the grounds wet before refrigerating (see video). I use a medium grind and let it sit for 24 hours. The glass feels thin and fragile, but it has held up well. When it is done I give it a good rinse and I haven't had any problems with the filter clogging up. After 2 years of use the friction seals are all still perfect.
