Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max, 128GB, Alpine Green - Unlocked (Renewed)

Aside from the phone being nearly perfect, no visible signs of wear and tear, no delays (after updating and restoring), unlocked, and the battery is good (84% health). (lengthy story and complaint incoming) However, (and hopefully this helps someone else who faces the same problem) I’m giving it 3 stars because I had the worse experience setting it up. Not to mention the charging cable that came with it didn’t work. Anyway, to the pressing issue here I did what I would normally do when setting up a new iPhone and followed the prompts to transfer my data through the cloud onto this device. However, due to the phone’s software being completely outdated (ios18, we’re on 26) it caused the phone to completely glitch out midway and got extremely hot. I couldn’t swipe up to input my passcode to proceed with the installation process. Heck, I couldn’t even force restart it. (quickly press the volume up, volume down immediately after and press and hold the power button until you see the Apple logo) I was almost at my wits end. Fast forward, the device is still glitchy so I reached out to Amazon Customer Care and was advised that I should take it into Apple and if they couldn’t do anything then to proceed with returning it. I obviously didn’t wanna do that. So I attempted to research the issues and after being pulled between Apple’s forum and Reddit’s forum, I decided to put the iPhone in DFU mode. This mode allows you to update and restore the phone via a computer. So boom, it’s in DFU mode and i’m still struggling! So I contact Apple but of course before doing so I see if they’re able to replace a software defective device out of warranty and of course it was a hard no. At this point, I’m ready to give up and just return it but after letting it die out (due to overheating) I let it charge overnight and said “let’s give this oneee more try.” So, I plugged it back into my computer.. same issue. It would pretend to restore and update the device but I would get an error message midway and couldn’t get my phone out of DFU. Only way to get it out was by completing the restoration. Anyway, I looked up the error message it mentioned that it could be a software issue (tell me something i don’t know 🤷🏽‍♀️) or it could be a charger cable issue.. Hmm 🤔 So I switched charging cables (even bought a new one that I would later use) and low and behold the update and restoration finally WORKED… So all in all, I say all of that to say; if you’re having issues with accessing and fully using your new iPhone. It’s more than likely because its software is extremely outdated. What worked for me: Put your phone in DFU mode (look it up if unsure how). Download either Apple Devices (Windows) or iTunes (Mac). While in DFU mode, plug the device up using a USB to lightning Apple Certified cable. A prompt will display saying error something would you like to proceed with restoring or updating? Click “restore” and then “update and restore” (for some reason it didn’t work clicking update first) it’ll take some time but after that it should go through the process of updating and restoring back to the factory settings and then you can proceed with setting the iPhone up as normal. (important!!! the cable needs to be APPLE CERTIFIED not the one from sheetz up the street) I haven’t experienced any delays or issues since updating to the latest version of iOS but i’m giving 3 stars because 1.) the charger it came with didn’t work. and 2.) because i feel like a little help card should’ve been included considering it didn’t have the latest version of iOS on there. Hopefully, TalkTek takes this review into consideration to include a little note in the packaging on updating the device.

Today is Wednesday, August 20, 2025. I’ve always wanted the iPhone 13 Pro Max in Alpine Green ever since it was released, so I decided to give this seller a chance despite the mixed reviews and their 4.5-star rating. I ordered the iPhone 13 Pro Max, Alpine Green, 256GB – Unlocked, Renewed (Excellent Condition). Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. First, the phone arrived a day late, even though I’m a Prime member (not necessarily the seller’s fault, but still frustrating). When I finally opened the package, the phone was the wrong color (Silver instead of Alpine Green) and had noticeable scratches and chips around the camera lens and aluminum frame. While some wear is expected on a refurbished phone, this was advertised as “Excellent Condition,” and I expected better. To be fair, I still tested the phone. I went into the settings to check everything: Verified the IMEI and serial number to ensure the device was legitimate. Confirmed it was fully unlocked with no SIM restrictions. Checked for any non-Apple parts — thankfully, everything appeared original. The phone’s functions worked well (Face ID, speakers, cameras, flash, vibration, etc.). The screen looked great with almost no scratches, the phone screen sensitivity could have been more proactive, and the back glass was in good condition. However, the biggest disappointment was the battery health: only 77%. According to Amazon’s “Renewed Excellent” standards, it should be at least 80%. For the price I paid, this was unacceptable. As a busy college student, I don’t have the time to send the phone back, but I do feel let down. I’ll likely have to spend another ~$100 to replace the battery at my university’s tech repair shop. Overall, I’m leaving 4 stars because the phone does function well and matches the storage capacity I ordered, but the wrong color, poor battery health, and condition not matching the description made this purchase very frustrating. My advice: check the IMEI, serial, SIM restrictions, and battery health right away when buying renewed iPhones, and read the reviews carefully before purchasing. P.S. I purchased a screen protector separately for extra protection. Also, note that the box only included a USB Lightning cable — no charging adapter. If you don’t already have one, I recommend buying an adapter or a complete charger along with the phone.

Phone was fully charged but didn’t even touch it for a day or two and when I did try to use it, it was completely dead. Got the Apple logo when I plugged it in to recharge. Also phone heats up when using for anything. Like right now I can feel the heat thru the back of the cover. Was expecting it to be at least near new for the price I paid. Am considering returning it. Additionally, I get a warning when trying to download apps from the App Store that the phone is already associated with a different Apple account (than mine) and I will not be able to download previous apps for 30 days if I transfer accounts. Transferred to my account anyways. Another thing is it will not do my facial recognition. It keeps telling me to lower or raise my phone and I follow the directions but it refuses to complete the process and tells me to try again later from the settings page and I have but I get the same thing over and over. It is so bulky and heavy. I will see how well a charge will last while using it then decide if it’s just an overpriced hand warmer. Nothing like my iPhone 8 + which I would have continued using if Apple didn’t make it impossible to accept the “new” terms and conditions in order to use my phones and iPads with iCloud! Companies that produce expensive devices like the iPhones should not just drop support of their products after a few years just to make you buy their new devices. Especially when the old ones work better. Anyone else experiencing this problem with their “old” Apple devices? Anyone know a workaround for the problem? I have tried going through the iCloud site to try to accept the terms and conditions but to no avail. We just upgraded our family storage to the 2Tb for all our Apple devices but now only our iPhone 12 will be able to use it! Elon needs to hurry up with the Pi phone; I would switch in a heartbeat!

Excellent quality. Looks brand new. The quality of the screen is perfect. I could not find any scratches on the screen or body. So far it is working very well and is very easy to use. I believe the price for this phone was great because of the quality. I will probably buy another phone for my son.

Was nervous and wasn't sure about ordering any refurbished iPhones outside of Apple's website. Went back and forth before deciding to buy it. Quantity and selection is relatively limited as well as pricing. It was a decent price, very similar to what you find on Apple's website for refurbished iPhones. The item came was shipped with 3 day delivery but came 1 day earlier! :) Signed and opened the package for inspection somewhat nervously. Was surprised to find that the iPhone 13 Pro Max was in relatively pristine condition. No scratches to the screen, to the back or to the side. One of the camera lenses had a slight scratch on the outer rim but doesn't affect performance (see picture). Battery capacity was at 96%, which was good, but fell to 95% after charging. It's Unlocked as noted... 'Carrier Lock... No SIM restrictions'. :) Also included was a short lightning cable and a generic 5W charger, which the latter was useless. The entire phone and box had a slight cigarette smell. Wipe down the phone with soap and water then dry with a microfiber cloth. It still has a slight smell but at least it's been cleaned. What was Missing was the SIM removal tool! Luckily, I had a spare SIM removal tool available. Had to restore and reset the iPhone twice before the clean iOS took effect. It originally included iOS 15.6 which I was hoping to keep and try to update to 15.7.1 but Apple stopped that update and is now forcing newer devices to update to iOS 16.x, currently 16.2! After that, used iTunes for Windows to copy over all the media files to the 13 PM since the restore/reset function literally wipes the iPhone clean. Finally, got lucky and found a Speck clear case on clearance along with a glass screen protector, both at discounted prices, at a nearby Walmart! ;) Currently it's working fine. May update the review if anything else changes.

The phone is in great shape. It is responsive and quick as expected, not a scratch or scrape on it. Only problem is that it came to me with 78% Maximum Battery Capacity, considerably less than Greater than 80% advertised for the Refurbished Excellent option I paid for.

I can’t tell the difference between this phone and my 13 pro that I “bought” for free from my service provider except you don’t get wired earbuds which I don’t use anyway. Battery life, screen and lens glass are perfect and transfer was nearly automatic when placed next to my old phone. Didn’t even have to put in a SIM or call my provider, everything f just worked! I don’t often review but this product saved me about $400 using a new phone from provider. After I get my trade in total cost will have been about $330 all in plus $20 for a new case.

Excelente compra

Bought it some days ago and couldn't be happier. In the past, I had iPhone 8+ (great phone), then iPhone X (the worst iPhone out there - overheating like hell), now this one. It arrived super quickly (Canadian express post - thank you so much, dear seller, you're the best!!). In the package there was a wall charger and a cable. Headphones not included, but no harm at all, coz I do not need them. The phone is just like from an Apple store - no scratches, no marks of previous using, absolutely nothing. Battery life is on 95%, which is spectacular. The phone itself is very nice, ultra smooth, slightly heavier than its predecessors, but it does not matter at all (at least to me personally). 1 TB of storage is amazing, for the price it is a must buy!! Highly recommend!!
