What a great set

Very nice beginner set, or for someone who understands some upgrades will be needed. The cymbals that come with this kit are garbage, as are the drum heads, but I figured this would be the case going in. Shells and hardware seem very solid, finish on the kit I purchased was beautiful (burnt orange sparkle). So if you are new to drumming and looking for something cheap you can't go wrong.

This is my second Pearl Road Show 5 Piece Drum Set I purchased online, last one in 2016. Every single item, all hardware including tension rods, drum shells, batter and resonant heads, stands, every single piece was in the contents of two delivered boxes to assemble the complete drum kit. The drum shells came with the burnt orange color, the color was not quite the orange I anticipated; it seemed a little more of a dark shade of red than orange, but that was OK. This may have been due to the photography shown online. The drum shells arrived in perfect condition not damaged or cracked, the machined edges were very well finished. I swopped some of the delivered packaged items such as some of the cymbal stands, the stock Pearl cymbals and throne with upgrades I purchased in the past. The kit included some extras like a very nice-looking Pearl drum stick bag, pair of drum sticks, a Pearl Drum set Poster that I mounted on the wall and a drum tuning key. I am using the stock Pearl drumheads, they seem OK for now but will upgrade them later in the year. The drums have a very nice tone once they are tuned to liking, the kit is a ton of fun to play and I would recommend any beginner or a drummer needing to gig on to purchase this drum set. I am very happy with this purchase and it was a very fair price.

This is my first drum kit. Ill be 52 this year. I put off this love and passion for far too many years. Ive never set drums up. Never tuned drums before. Never sat behind drums. NOTHING. Im GREEN..Im loving it though. Im not sure if I have enough life time to learn much,but im gonna do my best to enjoy. I will soon buy a crash cymbal or 2 as thats really all this kit is missing. SURE the cymbals that come with it are not everyones cup of tea. BUT if your new and know nothing about a "good cymbal" then its all good. Just get it and enjoy and let the pros do their thing.

The product arrived ahead of schedule and was very easy to assemble in about a hour with direction and some percussion knowledge. Otherwise about two hours. Great sound and color with burnt orange sparkle.
