Boolegon Cordless Blackout Roller Shades for Windows, Black, Custom Size

These shades are wonderful! Most of our windows are 34.5” wide. We chose inside mount so we ordered 34” wide. Absolute perfection. We hate blinds, so this was the solution. We tried it in 2 bedrooms and then outfitted the rest of the house. They’re not inexpensive, but they ARE WORTH IT.

We love these so much we bought several more and will definitely buy more and recommend this shade to others. The linen color is beautiful and we mounted them above the window (not inside mount) and it makes the brightest sunniest rooms dark like night. It lets some light in above but overall it’s awesome and we highly recommend. Excellent quality material and looks awesome and modern. Makes any space look great.

First, let me say that I paid for these with my own money and this is not a sponsored review or anything like that. Second, let me say that I don’t normally leave reviews. Third a little backstory. My husband has trouble sleeping and he gets up early and does not want to be woken up earlier than he has to be during the time of year when the sun comes up early, nor does he want to be woken up that early on the weekends. I on the other hand, need the sun coming in to help me wake up. Early morning sun helps me wake up earlier, which starts my day earlier, which thus makes me feel better about myself. Blinds obviously are not going to do what is needed. I have tried multiple automatic shades that can be linked to Alexa but you get what you pay for and ultimately I was not willing to pay $300 to $400 per shade, not that I couldn’t afford it, I just can’t bring myself to spend that much on a shade. Most recently I just bought blackout curtains and those didn’t really seem to work well for him either. So I decided let’s just get a normal roller shade that you would get at Home Depot until we’re able to figure out a solution. Well, let me tell you when I brought home a normal old school vinyl roller shade he had a fit and refused to put that tacky thing up in our house, even just temporarily. Now I’ll tell you the cost of Levelor or Bali blinds and shades is astronomical, even when you’re not getting “smart” versions. They want $250 for a shade that has a valance and is cordless, AND THAT WAS THE 50% OFF PRICE! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE OUT OF YOUR DAMN MIND IF YOU THINK IM PAYING THAT MUCH FOR A SINGLE WINDOW SHADE. (Imagine that with a southern accent please because I’m from Alabama and it comes out when I get fired up) Now onto my actual review: Pros: - very well made and attractive, they do not look cheap at all - the color I chose (natural I think) matches my curtains almost exactly so everything seems cohesive. - great price for the products - installation is a breeze with only 2 screws needed. I did inside mount. Con: - I wish they had more width to length variations. So basically an expanded product range. I love these shades! They were very easy to install and they block out light very well.

Well made and definitely black out except for the edges next to my window frame. As with any window shade, there's that 1/4" around the edge that doesn't cover the light coming in. Mine are mounted inside the frame. Maybe if they could be mounted outside the frame, this would not be an issue. Oh - and pushing them up actually works. I've had other shades without the cord that just don't work when you try to push them up - but this one works.

I bought these shades for our home that we rent out on Airbnb. But it's also our HOME. We needed shades to block out the intense sun to save on energy bills, but we didn't want to break the bank on really expensive shades! These are a great value and fit the bill. My niece recently graduated from college and said her friends ordered their shades from Amazon. I probably wouldn't have done it without her suggestion. I'm quite happy with the quality! They're super easy to install and it looks like they'll do the job blocking the light that we needed kept out. When rolled up, with their clean lines they're virtually undetectable. Vet happy with the product.

These cordless blackout roller shades work well for our windows, at a fraction of the cost of custom installed shades. We really like the easy up/down operation, that does not require you to tug on it to lock it in place, or release it from the locked position. It just glides up or down very easily. Very satisfied. Takes at least 2 weeks to get your order, but in our opinion, they're worth the wait.

Started working graveyard shifts so wanted to block out the sunlight. 1st of all I ordered this on March 4th, it said a week for delivery, I received it yesterday, 22 days later. They have you measure the entire length and height of the window frame and then they make their own deductions, well if you look at the pics I posted, they dont know how to deduct,Is my room darker? Sure. Could I have done a better job with aluminum foil or a blanket? For $156 you bet your ass I would. The plastic anchors to hold the thing in place are cheap, and they dont give you a drill bit either, so if you do decide to test your luck, 3/16 was too small and 1/4 was too big. I used the 3/16th i had to ream out the hole to get the plastic anchor to go in, and the screws that they provide don3t even tighten all the way.
