As far as I know you'll have to purchase the entire unit... can't just buy the cover.

I found I was holding the learn button too long. Once I found that it was the problem it went smooth there on. Sorry there was a problem.

Q: Can you program a temporary code with this?

Since it is an aftermarket unit I'm not sure. The LiftMaster 877LM you can set up a one time code and it will work with chamberlain or LiftMaster yellow program button units.

Q: Will this work with a orange button

The seller claims that it usable with multiple systems including orange and yellow. However I was not able to program it to work with my yellow system. I returned it for credit. I finally purchased a true "LiftMaster" from a dealer and it worked immediately.
