Description

In this workplace comedy from writer/executive producer/star Quinta Brunson (A Black Lady Sketch Show) and executive producers Justin Halpern & Patrick Schumacker (Harley Quinn), a group of dedicated, passionate teachers — and a slightly tone-deaf principal — are brought together in a Philadelphia public school where, despite the odds against them, they are determined to help their students succeed. The staff at Abbott Elementary includes Janine (Brunson), an optimistic and slightly naïve second grade teacher; Gregory, a substitute-turned-permanent teacher; Ava, the unprincipled new principal; Jacob, an overtly liberal, try-hard history teacher; Melissa, a tough, longtime teacher with a well-controlled classroom; and Barbara, a highly respected matriarch-like teacher.
